Residential Recycling Township Code 149-18 Leaf waste. All residents of Limerick Township shall separate leaf waste from all municipal waste generated at their property. When collection procedures have been scheduled by the municipal waste collector, leaf waste shall be placed in paper biodegradable bags provided by the municipal waste collector. Residents must purchase biodegradable leaf and yard waste collection bags from an authorized dealer as no plastic bags are permitted. Any resident who otherwise provides for the proper disposal of leaf waste by composting shall not be required to comply with the provisions of this subsection.
Information for all Private Hauling Companies operating in Limerick Township Per Limerick Township Ordinance No. 288 adopted on December 13, 2007 by the Board of Supervisors, the Township is again requesting information as to your schedule for collection of yard and leaf waste. Per Resolution No. 2007-45 which accompanies Ordinance No. 288, residential trash haulers are required to advise their customers of specific dates for leaf pick-up, which will be: First collection in May Second collection in late October Third collection in November Fourth collection in December Limerick Township is obligated to post this information; we are advising you that a copy of this information must be forwarded to the Township each year prior to the May collections. Information for all Private Hauling Companies operating in Limerick Township Limerick Township Board of Supervisors passed the enclosed Ordinance No. 377 on April 18, 2017. This Ordinance amended the hours of operation for municipal waste collectors or haulers to: 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday Any collections, as referenced above, performed outside of these hours will be considered a violation.
