Condition of the Equipment: The general condition of the equipment is in fair condition. The equipment was maintained to manufacturers recommendations by certified ASE mechanics. The vehicles are black and white, equipped with vinyl floors and charcoal cloth interior, power driver seat, power windows and locks, and air conditioning. Vehicle Paint: If the awarded buyer resides in Minnehaha County, South Dakota, the City will paint the doors of the vehicle with an automotive paint to match the rest of the car. If the buyer is the high bidder and resides outside of Minnehaha County, South Dakota, the vehicle will be sold as is with the current paint scheme as pictured in Exhibit A. Bid Award: The sale of the equipment will be awarded by proposal to the highest responsible and responsive bidder. It will be the awarded bidder s responsibility to coordinate the removal and shipping of the equipment from the Fleet Management Facility located at 1000 East Chambers Street in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The City of Sioux Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed in the best interest of the City. Method of Payment: Each sealed bid must include a bid security which can be a certified check, cashier s check, money order, or bid bond in the amount of $500 payable to the City of Sioux Falls. No personal checks or company check will be accepted. If a certified check, cashier s check, or money order is not included with the bid, the bid will be considered nonresponsive and will not be accepted. Unsuccessful bids will be returned within 30 days from the date of opening to all nonsuccessful bidders. Successful bidder is responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes. All sales are final and the equipment is sold as is, where is, and the City does not warrant the condition of the equipment.
