PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 92B STEP 92-1 92B Push the handles (92B) into the holes in the rear shelf (92A). 92A 92A 57A STEP 92-2 Place the rear shelf (92A) into the inside of the rear of the body, aligning the holes at the sides. When in place, it should look like the one shown in the inset. 369
Step by Step BM STEP 92-3 Secure the shelf to the body with two BM screws. BM 57A STEP 92-4 Slide the spring (92E) onto the pin (92D), and insert the two parts into the groove on the right side of the body. 92E 92D 370

PORSCHE 911 CARRERA STEP 93-1 Insert the engine cover lock (93C) into the central hole in the frame (93B). 93B 93C STEP 93-2 OP Turn the frame over. Then place the washer (93D) into the central hole, and tighten an OP screw through it, securing the lock on the other side. 93D 93B 93B STEP 93-3 Place the frame onto the engine cover (93A), making sure that the five holes in the two pieces are aligned. 93A 373

Step by Step Stage 94: The engine cover hinges In this stage, you will fit the hinges to the engine cover, and fit the cover to the body. PORSCHE 911 CARRERA AM AP STEP 94-1 94C AP AM 93A Retrieve the engine cover and place the strut (94C) along the front edge, on the underside of the cover, as shown. Secure the strut with two AM and two AP screws. BM 94B STEP 94-2 Place the right engine cover hinge (94B), marked R, onto the posts on the right-hand side of the cover. Secure it there with a BM screw. 93A 377
Step by Step BM 94A 93A STEP 94-3 Fit the left engine cover hinge (94A) to the left side of the cover in the same way as the right, securing with a BM screw. 93A 94A 57A STEP 94-4 Insert the ends of the hinges into the opening in the rear of the body, then lower the cover into position. 94B 378
PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 94D STEP 94-5 Turn the body over, holding the engine cover in place. Fit the hinge fixing plate (94D) over the ends of the hinges, which should be positioned in between the raised tabs, as shown. 57A PM PM STEP 94-6 Use two PM screws to secure the hinge fixing plate in position. PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 95A STEP 95-1 95D Insert the posts on the inside of the right rear bumper (95D), marked with an R, into the corresponding holes in the rear panel (95A). Secure the bumper with an IM screw. IM 95C 95A STEP 95-2 Fit the left rear bumper (95C), marked with an L, to the rear panel in the same way as the right. Secure with an IM screw. Step by Step STEP 97-3 STEP 97-4 Secure the right rear light to the right rear of the body with a KM screw. Locate the red + black rear light cable (40B). Disconnect it from the circuit board. KM 40B 97B 57A STEP 97-5 Run the rear light cable from the front of the body to the rear light holes, as shown. 40B 57A AM AM 97G STEP 97-6 97G Use the three tabs (97G) and three AM screws to secure the cable to the inside of the body. 57A 388
PORSCHE 911 CARRERA STEP 97-7 STEP 97-8 Use three pieces of tape (97H) to fix the cable along the rear panel (circled). Place the chassis and body side by side. Connect the loose ends of any of the cables, matching the colours as with the others. STEP 97-9 57A Once all the cables are connected, lower the body onto the chassis. Lower the rear into place first, then make sure to move any cables out of the way when you lower the front. Opening the doors will help to fit the body onto the chassis, ensuring the dashboard fits flush. 19A CM CM STEP 97-10 Once the body and chassis are in place, secure them together with eight CM screws from the underside of the vehicle. 389 CM CM
Step by Step HP CM STEP 97-11 Remove the exhaust silencer (37D) from the exhaust pipe. Place the left rear bumper (96A) onto to underside of of the body, as shown. Secure the bumper with two CM and two HP screws. 37D 96A CM STEP 97-12 HP Now place the right rear bumper (97A) onto the underside of the body. Step by Step 98F STEP 98-1 Secure the mirror support (98F) and the mirror arm (98D) with a BP screw. 98D BP STEP 98-2 98D Insert the end of the mirror arm (98D) into the hole in the centre of the mirror housing (98C). Then place the mirror joint (98E) into the other side of the hole, and secure the parts with a BP screw. 98E BP 98C STEP 98-3 98B Remove the protective backing from the rear of the mirror (98B). STEP 98-4 Fix the mirror (98B) into the mirror housing, and hold it there for a few seconds to secure it. Then remove the protective cover from the front of the mirror. 98C 98B 392
PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 98F 98H STEP 98-5 STEP 98-6 Locate tape B (98H). Peel off one piece and apply it to the mirror support. Remove the protective backing from the tape (98H). 98F STEP 98-7 Fix the mirror support to the black square on the windshield. Hold it in place for a few seconds to secure it. 98A STEP 98-8 98G 98G 393 Apply ten strips of tape A (98G) around the opening in the body for the windscreen, as shown. Remove the protective backing from the strips.

Step by Step 99B STEP 99-1 Peel off eight strips of tape A (99B), and apply them around the opening in the body for the rear window. Remove the backing from the strips when you are ready to fit the rear window. 99A STEP 99-2 Place the rear window (99A) into the opening in the body, and gently press it into place. 396
PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 99C STEP 99-3 Apply one tape B (99C) centered just above the rear window. MM MM STEP 99-4 Retrieve the oil reservoir from Stage 97, and place it on the inside of the right rear bumper. Insert the pipe into the hole in the oil reservoir. Use two MM screws to secure the reservoir. 97D 97A 33D 397
Step by Step 81C FP STEP 99-5 Open the left door, and align the hole at the end of the seatbelt with the hole in the side of the seat. Secure it in place with an FP screw.
