137 Replica German Stick Grenade. Pot appears to be sheet metal. End cap is held in place with a central screw. Both are painted Field Grey I think. Wooden handle looks old and is faintly marked 1942 and other even fainter marks which I can t decipher. It also has a slight lengthways crack near the head. Looks the part. 60 138 U.S. 81mm Mortar Table/Bedside Lamp. Wooden base with H.E. mortar attached and fuse replaced with a light fitting. Mortar body is a little pitted near the front and painted olive. Stamped 81MM M43. The lamp doesn t have a bulb, but I fitted one in and it does work. The mortar has not been damaged, at least from what I can see of the outside, and could easily be returned to its former state by some careful cleaning/painting and the addition of a fuse. 60 139 Bag with 2 of 577/450 Martini Henry rounds and 1 of 577 Snider round. Martini rounds are drawn case with PP Lead RN bullets. Snider is a Mk 9 with Red band. 10 140 25mm Japanese Navy Hotchkiss HE. Brass case with an unfired projectile which has been repainted Red (a bit too Dulux looking). Case has a few very minor dings, projectile drive band has a little corrosion. Fuse appears very nice. 80 141 Pair (2) of Japanese Type 89 Combustion Time Fuse. This is the type fuse used in 75mm and 105mm Anti-aircraft guns. Both are dig-ups but look complete. With some work one could be quite presentable, the other is a bit corroded. 40 142 Japanese Type 88 Large Impact Fuse Sectioned. This is the type fuse used in the 70mm Type 3 Howitzer, the 57mm Type 90/97 Tank Gun and the 47mm Type 1 Anti-tank among others. The section work is a little rough and the aluminium plunger is almost rotted away, but the brass parts are pretty good with Japanese markings quite clear. Unusual. 20 143 Japanese Type 5 th Year Time Fuse. Full brass fuse with rounded nose. Dig-up, I think, but still in pretty good condition with markings visible. Still has the split pin in the nose piece and the locking bar on the side. With a little careful cleaning it could be made into a very presentable fuse. (Japanese Explosive Ordnance Booklet by US Navy p116) 30 144 Large Fuse (By Bofors for around 75mm?) Two piece Brass conical body with a knurled steel nosecap. Marked H 10-40 Has an adjuster screw on the side near the base marked M ZV V at 9, 12 & 3 o clock. Quite good condition. 30 145 Large Fuse as for previous lot but front half of the body is steel on this one. Marked P.W. 1-38 and the same adjuster screw markings as previous. 30 146 Brass conical fuse cover. No markings. About 55mm dia at base and 100mm long. 6 147 Action Proving Dummy.
