Claude Lachat Claude Lachat is one of the pioneers in RC model car design. He is one of the first to make a succesful offroad RC car and has designed many more since then. Several of his designs have done very well in the off-road competition achieving podium places in European and World Championships. His name is synonymous for revolutionary techniques and robust design. The engineers at ISHIMA racing and Claude worked together intensively to set a new standard for the future of off-road racing. 2
LAYDOWN SUSPENSION To create a more reactive suspension, the shocks of the RAVE buggies have been angled towards the center of the chassis. As a result, they are not precompressed by the weight of the car like on a classic suspension system. Effects of LAYDOWN SUSPENSION The uncompressed suspension system reacts that much faster to large bumps or small irregularities alike. The car will feel more in contact with the track and allow you to concentrate on steering instead of having to fight to keep it on track. The increased grip will allow for a higher cornering speed and a more stable driving line. Because the springs are much less compressed, the damping can also be fine tuned to perfection. This suspension arrangement is much more compact than any conventional system and yields much more travel while still keeping the center of gravity in an optimal low position. 3
