VOLUMETRIC RAPIDMIX (CV) MODEL SPECS The Rapidmix has been designed t be ttally mbile and cmpletely self-cntained with its wn pwer surce. It is als cmpletely self erecting, using the hydraulic system t change the plant frm its travel mde int a fully peratinal plant in a few hurs. The Rapidmix is available in tw utput ptins f up t 400 r up t 600 tns per hur, depending n applicatin. Feed rates are fully adjustable fr the aggregate, cement and water systems. The plant is designed fr any mixing applicatin where a cement r binder needs t be mixed int a base material. The Rapidmix (CV) Plants are vlumetric cntinuus mixing systems. Vlumetric measurement (C) When materials are flwing cntinuusly and measured by vlume, by using a calibrated rtary valve, a variable speed aggregate belt, an adjustable calibrated gate pening, r a cmbinatin f these, s that a knwn, predetermined vlume f each ingredient is btained in a designated time interval, the methd f measurement is vlumetric. Cntinuus vlumetric measurement with multiple ingredients requires that the prper relatinship amng thse ingredients be maintained. It is this calibratin f speed, time, and vlume which prvides a smth cntinuus release f materials resulting in yur next hmgeneus mix. Rapidmix was develped t be a cst-effective methd fr mixing a wide range f materials in many frms f applicatin as listed belw: * Rller-Cmpacted Cncrete (RCC), fr pavement r dams. * Cement Treated Base (CTB), r Cement Stabilized Base. * Bentnite enriched sils fr lagns, waste landfills and prtective cell linings. * Sludge slidificatin fr hazardus and nn-hazardus waste. * Cntaminated sil stabilizatin. CHASSIS Cnstructin: Hllw sectin members fully welded int lattice design with brackets fitted fr attaching hydraulic lifting rams, bin, sil, cnveyrs, mixer, and all ancillary items which make up the plant. Running Gear: Axle type: Standard tri-axle. Suspensin: Single leaf steel spring. Brakes: Standard air perated hub brakes with autmatic slack adjusters. Wheels: twin wheels n each hub, (4 per axle ttal 12 tires) Lights: Rear marker lights, including indicatrs, beacns, brake lights and side markers in accrdance with regulatins. Access: Walkways are prvided alng the chassis f the machine fr maintenance access. The walkways are cnstructed frm aluminum diamndplate with handrails at apprpriate lcatins. AGGREGATE HOPPER WITH VARIABLE SPEED BELT FEEDER

Capacity: 15.6 cu yds (12.0 m 3 ) Lading Width: 14 ft 2½ ins (4330 mm). The hpper can be laded frm either side f the machine. Cnstructin: S275 plate with stiffening ribs. Steep sides fr difficult materials. (end slpes f 60 degrees). Remvable Divisin Plate: The hpper has a remvable divider, allwing tw materials t be used. Lining: T aid the discharge f the materials the hpper surfaces are fitted with lw frictin high mlecular plyethylene lining material 1/2 (12mm thickness). Adjustable Gates: The utlet end f the hpper is fitted with adjustable gates t enable the material height and rati n the cnveyr belt t be varied. These are adjusted manually. Belt Feeder: The cnveyr is fitted with a heavy duty 3 ply 1200mm (4 ) belt at the bttm f the hpper t prvide feed frm the hpper t the mixer. The cnveyr is run by a geared mtr drive with autmatic variable speed cntrl. It is additinally equipped with adjustable rubber skirts and heavy duty supprt rllers. TWIN SHAFT CONTINUOUS MIXER Mixing Actin: The twin shafts mix the material at up t 110 r.p.m., while mving the material tward the end f the mixer. Paddles: The twin hrizntal mixing shafts are fitted with 72 Ni-Hard cast paddles, which are intermeshed in a specially phased relatinship t ptimize mixing actin and thrughput. Each paddle measures: 7.625" X 5.625" / 42.891 ttal square inches. Cleaning and Maintenance Access: Special attentin has been paid t give the user maximum access fr maintenance and cleaning peratins. The tp f the mixer is fitted with hinged access drs, which when pened, give access t all f the mixing chamber. Additinally, bth sides f the mixing chamber pen via hydraulic cylinders. Clean-ut Cnveyr: Munted n the bttm f the mixer, frming the bttm f the mixing chamber, this cnveyr allws the bttm f the mixer t be easily cleaned ut, when prductin is finished. The mixer shuld be lined with a bed f material every mrning befre prductin starts. The cnveyr is fitted with a lw speed geared mtr drive.

Drive: The 400C shafts are driven by a 75 kw (100 HP) electric mtr thrugh a reductin gearbx with twin gears t synchrnize the shafts. 600C shafts have (2) 55kW mtrs. Mixing Chamber: The mixing chamber is frmed by fabricated slped sides with a trughed cnveyr under the mixer frming the bttm f the mixer. CEMENT/ BINDER SILO Capacity: 48 US tns based n material being 1500 kg/m 3 (93.64 lbs/ft 3 ). Capable f up t 60 t.p.h. thrughput. Cnstructin: Square sil design cnstructed frm all welded bx sectin S275 plate with stiffening ribs. Access t Rf: The flding access ladder with safety cage is fitted with duble tubular handrail and kicking strip. An access hatch is prvided n tp f the sil. Outlet: Flanged t suit the rtary valve paddle feeder. A shut-ff plate is prvided t clse the sil utlet t allw maintenance t the feeder belw. Sil Venting: 20m 2 Reverse Jet Filter with fan assistance. A pressure relief valve is fitted t prtect the sil frm ver-pressurizatin. Filling Pipes: (2) 4 (100mm) steel pipes with screwed end fr fitting cam lcks r ther type f delivery hse fitting. Level Indicatin: Wam Trex rtating paddle style level indicatrs fr high and lw- level cntrl.

CEMENT PADDLE FEEDER Type: Off-set, cleated, Rtlk 750mm (30 ) square rtary valve paddle feeder t feed the cement r binder material ut f the sil. Drive: 2.2 kw (3 HP) geared electric mtr with autmatic variable speed cntrl. OUT-LOADING CONVEYOR Functin: Transprting the mixed material frm the twin-shaft mixer t the truck. The cnveyr is designed t handle the maximum feed rate frm the mixer. A gb hpper fitted t the tp end f the cnveyr allws sme mixed material t be held fr a while, fr example, while the next truck drives under fr cllectin. Cnstructin: Bxed steel cnstructin with munting brackets fr rllers and pivt mechanism. The tp sectin f the cnveyr incrprates a flding sectin fr transprtatin. Belt: 400C Bellt is 800mm (31.5 ) 3 ply belt with heavy duty tp cver and vulcanized jint. 600C belt are: 1000mm (39.4 )

Drive: Mtrized drum with rubber lagging. Belt Scraper: Plyurethane blade pre-cleaner scraper munted n the face f the head drum. Belt Scale: A belt scale is fitted t this cnveyr t mnitr and cntrl the feed rate and hence utput f the plant. Gb Hpper: Hpper fitted t the tp end f the cnveyr with pneumatic discharge drs t prevent segregatin. Cnstructed frm S275 plate. 1 cu. yd. capacity. WATER SYSTEM Water Tank: A 1750 liter (462 US gals) is fitted cmplete with autmatic shut ff valve and galvanized steel piping. Pumps: Tw psitive displacement pumps are fitted t supply dual spray bars within the mixer. Spray Bars: Each mixer spray bar has a ball valve t allw additin f water early in the mix, later in the mix, r bth tgether. A calibratin pint fr accurate water weighing is als included. Flwmeter: A Siemens mag flw meter accurately measures water dispensed between pumps and mixing chamber.

PNEUMATIC SYSTEM Cmpressr: The Rapidmix is equipped with a Hydrvane cmpressr t prvide the air supply fr the gb hpper drs and the sil filter. Valves, Regulatr: Slenid spl valves are fitted fr the cntrl f the gb hpper drs. A lubricatr is prvided fr the gb hpper cylinders. Additinally, equipped with a regulatr and pressure gauge t adjust the pressure as required. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM The hydraulic system is used t lift and level the machine, erect the sil and ut-lading cnveyr. It is als used in pening mixer drs fr maintenance and cleaning. Hydraulic Pwer-pack: This cnsists f: Electric mtr clse cupled t a hydraulic pump unit, il reservir, return line filter, directinal valve, filler/ breather, and level gauge. Cntrl Valves: Lever perated valves fr perating the cylinders. Hydraulic Cylinders: Duble acting cylinders used n: jacking / leveling n 4 f 12 feet, sil elevatin, ut-lading cnveyr fld-ut, and mixer sides.

GEN-SET This unit prvides electrical pwer fr all machine functins. Diesel pwered generating set rated at 200 KVA, 3 phase, 480/277 vlts, 60 Hz, 1800 RPM at NTP cnditins. Pwered by a Vlv Tier 4 Final, 6 cylinder turb charged diesel engine with directly cupled brushless generatr. Each GenSet features: Heavy duty fabricated steel skid type base frame with anti-vibratin munting pads. Electric starting system with heavy duty lead acid batteries and alternatr charging system. High capacity air, fuel and lubricating il filters. Fuel feed and return lines frm engine t 12 hur capacity baseframe fuel tank. Industrial exhaust silencer system. Autmatic engine shutdwn prtectin equipment with LCD display fr lw il pressure, high engine temperature, lw clant level, verspeed, and fail t start. Cmplete circuit breaker enclsure cntaining ABB 3 ple mlded case circuit breaker. Instructin manuals and electrical wiring diagrams.

PLANT CONTROL SYSTEM The system uses an Allen Bradley PLC t cntrl all the plant functins fr autmatic cntrl with manual backup. A tuchscreen peratr panel is used fr the display and adjustment f all plant parameters and functins.

Manual rate meters which display the speed f the in feeds during manual peratin. Mixer amp meter t display the current being cnsumed during manual r autmatic peratin f the plant. A thermal printer fr printing batch and daily ttal tickets. Starter Panels: There are 2 starter panels. Panel 1 fr mixer and Panel 2 fr all ther starters. Panel 1 is lcated behind the mixer and huses the cntactrs, verlad relays, timers and current transfrmers required t start and run the mixer mtr using a star / delta sequence. Panel 2 is lcated under the peratr cntrl panel and huses all cntactrs, verlad relays, MCB s, Siemens r Emersn inverters, Siemens r Allen Bradley PLC and all ther cmpnents required t cntrl the plant.

SAFETY GUARDS The plant is fully guarded with galvanized steel t prtect Operatr s. The sides f the plant are finished with guard rails, the mixing chamber is lined with metal/mesh guards which are used thrughut t ensure visibility f mving parts while prviding prtectin frm harm and mre. *Please refer t the Rapidmix Alarms and Safety Brchure. COMMISSIONING Setup, calibratin, and full capacity run at custmer site. MANUALS Full perating and maintenance reference manuals are supplied with the machine. PAINT SPECIFICATION After fabricatin and hppers items are manually (sht) blast cleaned in ur Blast Rm t Sa2 standard. Immediately after blasting all items are transferred int ur enclsed state f the art Paint Bth/Oven. We then apply a 2-pack epxy primer and a 2-pack plyurethane glss finish cat. During the paint prcess the ven facility is used t bake as required at temperatures up t 80 C. Anything stated as galvanized will nt be painted.
