PS/ PSC & PG/PGC Power Swing Chucks Our PS and PG Chucks are suited for round/nearly round parts (specifically forged or cast parts) that require machining. They use a ball lock, knuckle mechanism that functions as a pull-down and clamping device, improving clamp accuracy and steadiness over long machining periods. Both models are offered standard in 6, 8, 10, 12 15, 18 and 21 sizes. The PS Chuck is typically used for centering work not requiring a thru-hole. The PG Chuck can be supplied with air (for sensors) or coolant through the chuck. Because the jaws float independently, it is suited for rough castings that are not perfectly round and are more difficult to clamp with self-centering chucks. The PSC and PGC chucks are designed with chuck jaws that compensate to make sure that grip force equals out on all jaws. Both compensating models are available with air, coolant or both air and coolant through the chuck.
PB Pin Arbor Chucks LMC offers multiple models and sizes of Pin Arbor Chucks. Our PB Chuck is suited to holding round workpieces with flat surfaces (IE: machining brake disc rotors). When flat faced, large diameter parts need to be faced or bored out, often the application calls for the force on the radial surface to be minimized. Because the PB Chuck offers a pull-down feature and radial clamping feature, excessive clamping force and distortion is nearly eliminated. The PB Chuck is offered standard in 5, 6, 8, and 10 sizes. It can be supplied with air, coolant through the chuck, or both air and coolant. PBH Pin Arbor Chucks Like our PB Chuck, our PBH Chuck holds round workpieces with flat surfaces. The PBH Chuck additionally features a standoff behind the chuck to support the back side of the jaws. The result it gives the chuck added rigidity and greater support so longer parts will not flex during machining, especially important in higher speed machining. The PBH Chuck is offered standard in 5, 6, 8, and 10 sizes. It can be supplied with air, coolant through the chuck, or both air and coolant. 2R Cylinder Just one of several different models and sizes of hydraulicallypowered rotating cylinders, our System 2R Hydraulic Rotating Cylinder is well suited to handle a wide range of your high performance chucking applications. They are compact (for increased operation in restricted areas, ideal in vertical applications where spindle-to-floor dimensions are critical) and lightweight to help high speed operation. Stroke detection via proximity switches ensures the chuck s opening/closing. 2R Cylinder Dimensions 2R 105/21-25 2R 120/21-25 2R 120/21-35 RNKP150/35-01 Max Speed (min-1) 6000 5000 5000 4200 Max Pressure (Kgf/cm 2 ) 40 40 40 40 Piston Dia (mm) 105 120 120 150 Piston Stroke (mm) 25 25 35 35 Piston Area-Push (cm 2 ) 78.1 104.6 104.6 175.5 Piston Area-Pull (cm 2 ) 75.2 101.8 101.8 165.4 Weight(kg) 11 11.5 13 17.5 GD 2 (Kg-m 2 ) 0.18 0.18 0.18 0.36 A, mm 105 120 120 150 B, mm 180 192 192 222 C, mm 85 120 120 110 D, mm 128 150 150 175 E, mm 38 38 38 38 F M28P1.5 M28P1.5 M28P1.5 M24P3.0 MALE G (max/min) 32/7 37/12 42/7 105/70 H, mm 5 5 5 5 L, mm 167.5 167.5 190 180 M, mm 21 21 21 6 N, mm 35 35 35 38 P 6-M8 x 75 6-M10 x 75 6-M10 x 85 6-M12 S, mm 25 25 35 35 U, mm 9 9 9 - W, mm 49 49 49 - X, mm 110 110 130 - PT PT1/4 PT1/2 PT1/2 PT 1/4
