President s Message THANK YOU! These are the only words I can come up with to describe how I feel after our First Annual Tomahawk Spring Show. Thank You to Sue and Route 65 Classics for hosting the show and allowing us to use their facilities. Thank You to everyone who helped during the show. Thank You to everyone who attended the show. Thank You to the Weather Gods for the great weather. The Saturday before the show there was 5 inches of snow in the parking lot. This proves that God is a car buff and he prefers Pontiacs! We had 122 paid people (cars and swappers). I think that there were at least as many spectators walking through it as well. We have already booked Route 65 Classics for next year. Anyone who didn t help or show up, here is your chance to redeem yourself! Our next club meeting in May is going to be at the Galaxy Drive In in St Louis Park. Let s hope the weather is nice. As I am writing this (May 1st) there is a winter storm warning for tonight. I hope everyone can make the next meeting. One last thought, don t forget about the GM Show in June and the goody bag stuffing on the Thursday before the show at the Roseville American Legion. Drive Safe! Steve Messer, Tomahawk Chief Page 2
Next Month s meeting may be at the Galaxy Drive In (see page 4). Paul Bergstrom won the drawing April Meeting Minutes We met at the Rosetown Legion with about 25 members present. We would like to welcome our new members Daniel, Tina and Melina who have a 1953 Chieftain as well as Lauren Harvey who has a 1977 Firebird Formula. The March minutes were read and accepted. Jim Felker gave a treasurer s report and it was accepted. Respectfully Submitted, Steve Social Butterfly Weese Tomahawk Chapter Secretary Old Business It was Terry Ford s Birthday, so we sang Happy Birthday to him. New Business Terry had some information on the Ames Tri-Power Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio on August 2,3,4. He and Nick said it was actually spring in Oklahoma on a recent trip they had gone there. New Tomahawk Chapter Decal/Window Cling Now Available Route 65 Show Members discussed about what the weather may be like in ten days. We need a few workers to show up at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the show. Member s cars are not eligible for awards but must pay the $5.00 to enter. The show is open to all American branded automobiles and trucks only. The new Tomahawk Chapter decal and window clings can be obtained from VP Todd Lewis. Come to a monthly meeting or contact Todd at: 651-895-9325 or email tc.lewis@yahoo.com. Page 3

Meanwhile... Back at the Pontiac Ranch How great was that 70-degree weather the moved in for our April 27th show! Now it s snowing again here on May 3rd as I write this column. I guess we ll have to forget Spring and go right into summer when June rolls around! Thanks to the Tomahawk officers, our car show committee and all of the member volunteers that worked the Route 65 car show to make it an event that folks will look forward to returning to next year. With the great turn out we had, I think the majority of car hobby folks in the Twin Cities live on the northern side of the Metro area! This show reminded me of the Metro Molded Parts All-American car show that the Tomahawk Chapter put on years ago. I hope to see you at the Galaxy Drive In, bring out your Silver Streak George Jetson mobiles! Keep those Ponchos rollin!
