HOW TO CHANGE THE CORD OUTLET DIRECTION FOR CONNECTOR TYPE The cord outlet direction is interchangeable both right and left sides. The direction of connector cord is set to the right when it is shipped. When it is used left side direction, follow the next procedure. Cord outlet direction (Right side) Step 1 Fitting metal Body Terminal cover Step 2 Cramp Pry metal locking tabs away from detents while pulling the terminal cover down from the switch body. Be careful of the attached wires. Step Rotate the terminal cover. Again, be careful of the attached wires. Do not loosen terminal screws. Cord outlet direction (Left side) Step 4 Attention Attention Seal rubber Make sure the rubber seal is properly seated and the wires do not extend between the switch body and cover. Press up on the terminal cover until the locking tabs snap back over the detents. Confirm the body and terminal cover fit together properly and the locking tabs are secure. INDICATOR LIGHTING CIRCUIT (Connector type only) 1) See the circuit diagram. 2) Voltage across terminal No. and No. 4 shall not exceed 24 V DC, with the indicated polarity in the circuit diagram. ) The LED is turned on when the switch is at a free. The LED is turned off when the switch operates. 4) Applicable power source is 24 V DC. Use it with care on leakage current. The leakage current is approx. 1.5 ma at 24 V DC. CAUTIONS Die cast case 1) Do not expose HL limit switch to hot water (over 60 C 140 F) or use in a water vapor environment. 2) Avoid places where organic solvents, strong acid, strong alkali liquid and vapor may come in direct contact with the switch. Do not use the HL limit switch in places where flammable or corrosive gas will be generated. ) Do not change the operating by bending the actuator. 4) If OT is too big, the life of limit switch will be shortened by switching friction. Use enough margin of OT. 70% of OT standard value will be good. 5) Attach the terminal cover securely to the body with the metal locking tab securely latched to the detent of the body. 6) A confirmation test in the actual application is highly recommended. 7) Do not use the switch in a silicon atmosphere. Care should be taken where organic silicon rubber, adhesive, sealing material, oil, grease or lead wire generates silicon. Plastic case 1) Do not use in water or oil.
