Feedback on the planning of the conference to be held on 4-7 October 2015 was NOTED, with members being informed that exhibition registrations would be made available within the next week. 9) AMEU Executive Affairs It was NOTED that the AMEU Standing Committee held a workshop on the progress and update session on the Centenary Convention. 10) AMEU Branch Affairs It was NOTED that the Highveld branch meeting was well attended, well catered and thoroughly enjoyed. The sound was very problematic, and it was requested that hosts in future be asked to ensure that the sound quality is sufficient. It was again highlighted that councils were poorly represented, noting that Madibeng representative had to put in leave to attend the Highveld meeting. A request for the AMEU Executive Committee to intervene in this regard, with reference to the workshop held earlier in the year, where Salga and Cogta involvement was requested. Funding of meeting attendance was raised as a matter of concern and it was NOTED that the only branch who does not appear to face the same challenges is the Western Cape. A request for members to put together feedback when they attend the branch meeting was raised 11) AMEU Magazine It is expected that the latest issue of the magazine will be available in the very near future. 12) PIESA No feedback is available. 13) CIGRE No feedback available. 14) SABS Hans informed the committee of the latest documents which have been published, a total of 42.

28 NRS 999 Guidelines on the concept and methodology of preparing standards 16) SARPA It was NOTED that Ekurhuleni has made great breakthrough in the theft of copper in a combined effort between private investigators, SAPS and have had successes as far as India. The members were informed that the SARPA 19 th Annual Convention in Mbombela from 13 to 14 August 2015.
