The aim of the annual Capita! submission is to recognise the prudency of invested capital and therefore allow for inclusion in the Regulatory Asset Base for recovery via coal access tariffs The QCA review the Aurizon 's submission using the prudency investment tests as detailed at clause 2 of Schedule E of the 2016 Access Undertaking (UT4) The QCA engaged an engineering consultant, AECOM, to review the submitted claim During the QCA review, AECOM identified an issue triggering the need for an amendment to the amount in the October 2017 submission. This amendment relates to expenditure of $359,413 for which a credit was later provided by the supplier. To support the amended claim, please find attached the amended Capex amounts, by Project, as Appendix A. Please note: A.04291 Asset Management System Project expenditure has been reduced by $359,413; A corresponding adjustment has been made to interest During Construction (IDC); and The net result of this change is a reduction in total expenditure, to $230,489,132 excluding IDC. or $240,415,754 including IDC.
