OUTPUT CONTROL Stroke limiter The correct way to control the concrete pump output: by using the output control limiter. The stroke limiter is a hydraulic device that can be adjusted at the operator s panel. Its function is to raise and lower the output of the hydraulic pumps that operate only the concrete pump. This has the advantage of allowing the engine to remain at higher RPM, where horsepower is at the maximum. With an accumulator, there is pressure in the system as soon as the engine is started, and therefore you can use the stroke limiter immediately to control the speed. Basically, it will work whenever there is 50 bar or more showing on the concrete pump circuit pressure gauge. It has an adjustment range of 100%. That is, it can go from zero strokes per minute to maximum strokes per minute. Beware...because it can go to zero strokes per minute, it is possible to stop pumping altogether by adjusting this valve. On single circuit machines, the stroke limiter only adjusts the output of the hydraulic pumps while the differential cylinders are moving. That means that when the differential cylinders are stopped at the end of the stroke and the rock valve is moving, the pumps return to maximum output until the rock valve cylinder has completed its travel. This interruption of the stroke limiter signal is known as fast switch. It is recommended that all output control be done by the stroke limiter and not the engine throttle. Never control the stroke speed using the engine throttle. This has the effect of turning the hydraulic pumps slower, which results in less hydraulic fluid output. It has the disadvantage of lowering the horsepower output of the engine. It is possible to kill the engine with the hydraulics of the unit, if you lower the engine RPM. Try to match your pumping speed to the needs of the placement crew and with the supply of concrete. It doesn t do any good to bury the crew with concrete, then, wait for half an hour for the next truckload of concrete to arrive.

WATERBOX Keep the waterbox full during pump operations Don t forget to check the water in the waterbox regularly (and don t forget to stop the pump before you open the waterbox covers). The water is very important for cooling the differential cylinders, and lubrication of the rubber rams. NEVER LEAVE THE WATERBOX FULL OVERNIGHT

MANUAL REGENERATION Using the screen selection control, select the soot percentage screen. If the soot content is 50% and above, then the regeneration procedure should be considered for a convenient time. Turn the regeneration switch to position "1" on the fuse box. With the coolant temperature at 50'C, now press and hold the regeneration control button for 3 seconds then release. The engine regeneration cycle will now start and an increase in the engine revolutions will be seen at the display. The procedure should take 5-10 minutes, depending on the soot content. With the soot content now at zero (O%), the engine will end the cycle and reduce engine speed to normal tick-over. Now turn the regeneration switch back to position "0" at the fuse box. The machine is now ready for operations.
