Disconnect all four coil packs by disengaging the harness clips. One at a time, starting from cylinder number one. 4. Slide all four clips up and remove the coil packs from cylinders Three and Four to gain access to factory pcv plate.
3 5. Unscrew all (7) T30 screws located on factory oil extruder plate, 6 of the 7 screws stay with and do not remove from the plate. 6. disengage the evap hose clamp by squeezing with a pliers and then sliding out using a flathead or pick. 7. Remove plastic piece on top of factory pcv connecting to intake line by prying up and pusshing back. Once removed, you can remove the plate from the car. Cover exposed area with a rag to make sure that nothing drops into the engine 8. At the rear of the oil extruder plate there is a hose which connects to the turbo inlet elbow. Disconnect this hose from the plastic elbow by spinning it and prying with miniature pry-bar or pulling at the same time. Then remove from car.
4 9. Prepare the surface to install the new Spulen plate by wiping down any debris or residue to allow for a proper seal. Carefully align the Spulen plate on valve cover and ensure that the gasket stays in place and is flush to the surface. 10. Thread all (7) 4mm allen bolts. Begin by half tightening bolts then work to fully tightened. Torque down bolts in a cross pattern. 11. Once bolts have been fully tightened, reonnect the silicone vaccuum line to the factory PCV. Secure silicone line using supplied tie wrap while reatining use of factory clip. 12. Plug all coil packs back in and tighten down the 10mm bolts securing the ground wires.

*Refer to install notes included with the catch can for clocking specifications. 17. *Please note catch cans are shipped loose, for adjustment purposes based on vehicle. Dry fit the can into place and align the top of the cans to where the lines will be free. Once you have the can in the correct position, tighten the 6mm allen bolt located on the bottom of the can to secure the alignment of the lines. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 18. Reinstall by hand tighten 16mm engine mount bolt, in case lines do not align exactly where you want them to, you will also need to remove the ball in a later step. Once it is properly aligned toque bolt to 50Nm. 6 19. GOLF R ONLY: Install Spulen washer resovoir using factory 10mm bolt that was removed in step 14. Orient the hose clamp in an accessible position and tighten. 20. Install Spulen intake adapter to factory turbo inlet elbow. Slide it into position and lock down with provided c-clamp. It is helpful to use a flathead to lock c-clamp into place.

Attach the male 90 degree hose end to the Spulen oil extruder plate, routing it in the manner shown. Attach the 45 degree hose ends to the spherical catch can. 22. Route line from catch can out through the bottom where splash panel is located. There is no exact way to route the line, we recommend tie wrapping to a/c line seen below. Make sure to keep away from belts and pulleys. 1 2 23. Remove 16mm bolt holding can and connect drain hose into quick valve, it will lock into place once pushed in. Make sure valve is set to the closed position (Valve is set to closed in picture below) Once set re-install catch can into place. 1 2

Line up splash panel to drill a hole where the line naturally falls. Using 3/8th drill bit or unibit, drill hole into the bottom of the panel and run the line through. 26. Reinstall all (7) T-25 bolts securing panel. Trim the hose to have about 2-3 exposed below the car, for future convenience. We recommend placing a zip tie to the top of the line to secure movement of the line. 27. Place engine cover back into place and enjoy your Spulen catch can!
