Franchisees from around the world gathered at the annual Gold s Gym convention in Las Vegas, where achievements of some star franchisees from around the globe were recognized. Solera Celebrates A Year Of Mergers And Acquisitions The acquisition of Autodata landed Solera the D Magazine Mergers and Acquisitions of the Year Award. Solera also acquired RedCap and announced partnerships with TRATON GROUP and Taqeem. The global company also sponsored the 4th Annual Aspiration Summit in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as part of Solera s LIFT program. 10 11
ComForCare Pursues Multi-Brand Growth Strategy It was a busy last half of the year for ComForCare, which joined the BizCom roster in August. In 2018 the brand brought on Steve Greenbaum as CEO, acquired CarePatrol, announced a partnership with Kindred At Home, and rolled out private-duty nursing nationwide. Gigi s Serves Up Nationwide Delivery Gigi s Cupcakes served up a nationwide shipping program, offering delivery to customers anywhere in the continental United States within 1-2 business days. Among the sweet publicity the brand received throughout the year, the signing of former NFL players as franchisees in Austin generated widespread attention and founder Gina Butler shared some special recipes on the Hallmark channel. 14 15

Mr Gatti s Expansion Heats Up Mr Gatti s marked its return to franchising by opening its first franchise location in seven years in Killeen, Texas. In addition, Mr Gatti s sold 13 corporate locations in Austin to a group of former Papa John s executives which plans to open 10 more locations in the Austin area. Mr Gatti s returned to Tyler, Texas, opening its newest location in December. And the brand teamed with Digital BizCom for an influencer campaign promoting their Halloween-shaped take-and-bake pizzas. 16 17

BizCom Launches New Digital Division After years of providing digital marketing as an add-on service, we launched a new division, Digital BizCom. Under the direction of Morgan Butler, the division offers social media analysis, consulting and implementation, influencer campaigns, content creation, and affordable digital advertising. BizCom Associates had already been providing many of these services to clients such as Burger 21, Mr Gatti s, the Allen Americans professional hockey club, Gigi s Cupcakes and Rug Doctor. Based on the results generated by those programs and the requests for additional programs, we decided that it made sense to create an entire division that could focus on this growing need. While traditional PR and marketing communications remain a key part of BizCom s services, this division allows us to serve the growing needs of businesses that want to take advantage of emerging digital marketing tools. 20 21
