The arms are lcated n the rear f the rbt and have a runded r wheeled frnt tip. The rear arms are apprximately 2/3 the length f the rbt. When rtated dwn the arms lift the frnt f the rbt ff the grund allwing it t mve n tp f bjects as tall as the rbt chassis length. With the frnt f the rbt n the bject, the arms then rtate upwards cntinuing until the rear f the rbt is lifted as high as the arms are lng. The rbt can then travel nt the bject and rtate the arms back int parked psitin keeping them ut f the way. 1. The arms are used fr climbing an bstacle: Step 1: The arms have lifted the frnt f the rbt up t the height f the bject it is abut t climb. The runded frnt ends f the arms allw the rbt t still travel in a frward mtin until it reaches the bject. Step 2: The rbt is nw resting n the bject while the arms are rtated backwards. The treads are mving slwly frward at this time. SuperDrid Rbts Inc. LT-F Data Sheet, Revised Octber 29, 2008. Page 3 f 5
Step 3: The arms and treads cntinue t mve in the same directin as in step 2. The arms are strng enugh t lift the entire weight f the rbt ff the grund. Step 4: The rbt is nw mving frward and the arms are nly stabilizing the rbt frm flipping ver. If the rbt des fall ver backwards r the bject is t tall, the arms can simply flip the rbt upright. Step 5: The rbt has nw climbed n tp f the bject. The multipurpse arms can nw be rtated back int a psitin that the next bject requires. SuperDrid Rbts Inc. LT-F Data Sheet, Revised Octber 29, 2008. 2. The arms used fr climbing stairs. Step 1: The rbt has lifted the frnt end up high enugh t clear the first step. The rbt then drives frward just far enugh t rest n the tp f the first step. Step 2: The arms are rtated in the directin f the arrw shwn. Once the arms are abut t reach the grund the rbt can drive frward. The arms act as a stabilizer bar that prevents it frm turning ver. The rbt can nw climb the stairs withut flipping ver backwards. SuperDrid Rbts Inc. LT-F Data Sheet, Revised Octber 29, 2008. Page 5 f 5
