Loosen the Clean Grain Elevator Chain 7.1 Loosening the clean grain elevator belt will give you the ability to freely move the chain and paddles. The tensioning spring is located between the elevator and the separator. 7.2 Once finding the spring, take note of the washer in rela on to the spring tension guide and when ghtening the spring tension (step 21.3) return the washer to the same loca- ons. For loosing the spring you will need two 18 MM wrenches to completely spin the nut the en re length of the bolt. Once the tension is off the spring pull the belt off the of the tension pulley. 7.3 To loosen the elevator chain, loca on the tensioning bolt and nuts on the back side of the elevator. Using a 24 mm wrench, loosen the two nuts and adjust the elevator downward. 9/2013 7 955521

Replacing the Clean Grain Elevator Chain 8.1 The next step it to install the Precision Plan ng clean grain elevator chain. 8.2 Rotate the OEM chain to find master link on bo om. 8.3 Remove master link. 8.4 Use the old master link to connect new chain to one end of the old chain. A aching to the side that is towards the rear of the machine is preferred. 8.5 Make sure the paddles are facing correct direc on as shown in the picture below. 8.6 Pull out old chain & feed in new one. Warning: When the loose end of the new chain is close to the bo om drive sprocket, be careful that the chain doesn't go past the bo om sprocket. Doing so may cause the extra weight of the old chain to pull the new chain out of the clean grain elevator. 8.7 Disconnect the new and old chains by removing the old master link and connec ng both ends of the new chain with the new master link. 8.8 Leave the chain and belt loose un l the flow sensor is installed. 9/2013 8 955521

Installing the Flow Sensor 9.1 Remove the access panel inside the hopper to gain access to the top of the clean grain elevator. 9.2 Remove the cover on top of the clean grain elevator by first unlatching the U-bolt. Then remove the two hair pins from the cover s pin. Remove the pin from the cover and elevator housing and then remove the elevator cover itself. 9.3 No ce: On combines with hydraulic folding bin extensions, the cover pin will be more difficult to remove. Li ing the far side of the cover up and rota ng the cover towards the center of the combine will enable you to pull the pin down below the bin extension frame. You may need to use vise grips to get a be er grip on the pin. 9.4 Note the loca on of the lock nuts on the U-bolt, then remove the U-bolt from the original cover and reinstall the U-bolt on the flow sensor assembly plate. 9/2013 9 955521

Installing the Flow Sensor 10.1 Inden fy whether your original cover is the standard or high wear op on. No ce in the figure below that the high wear version has a welded plate where the U-bolt connects and the standard version does not. High Wear Op on Standard Version 10.2 Install the flow sensor assembly. If your original cover was the high wear op on, then you will need to install the shim that is provided in the installa on hardware kit between the cover and the pin as shown. High Wear Shim 9/2013 10 955521

Installing the Flow Sensor 11.1 Once the flow sensor is installed, it is important to use the Paddle Clearance Gauge provided to confirm the distance between the flow sensor and one paddle. 11.2 Remove the panel just above the bubble auger to gain access, and move a paddle to the ver cal posi on. 11.3 Gently insert the Paddle Clearance Gauge to the center of the paddle un l it becomes ght. 11.4 Place a finger to locate how far the gauge inserts into the gap. Remove the gauge and note the posi on. 11.5 Move the same paddle backwards to the half way point down the sensor, and repeat gauging. 11.6 Again, place finger to located how far the gauge inserts into the gap. Remove gauge and note the posi on. 11.7 If the feeler gauge does not become ght within regions A through C, or if the gauge becomes ght on region A for one posi on and region C for the other, the sensor is not in the correct loca on and contac ng Precision Plan ng Product Support will be necessary. 9/2013 11 955521

Installing the YieldSense Module (YSM) 12.1 Locate the loca on shown on the right side of the combine, just behind the cab. 12.2 Mark the loca on of two accessible holes in the YSM moun ng plate, ensuring that the YSM will be close to level once bolted in place. 12.3 Drill the holes using the #4 bit provided. Then tap the holes using the 1/4-20 tap provided. 12.4 Mount the YSM assembly using the 1/4-20 bolts provided. 9/2013 12 955521
