7 April 2016 Dear Resident/Business A13 FULWOOD - BROOMHILL SHOPPING AREA ROAD RESURFACING As part of the Streets Ahead works we are writing to let you know that we are due to resurface the roads in and around the Broomhill Shopping Area. All roads included in this work are shown in the schedule and on the maps included in this letter. The work will take place from 15 April 2016 for approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting. To carry out these works safely we will need to close various roads. As the majority of the roads are all major routes into the city, and bus routes, the work has been scheduled to take place during the night between the hours of 7pm and 7am. This is to minimise disruption in the area. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and any noise you may experience. There will be no on-street parking on the roads that we are resurfacing vehicles left on-street may be towed away and you will need to pay a fee to have your vehicle released. If you are away during the period in which the works are scheduled to take place please avoid parking your car on the road. Our work schedule is heavily dependent on the weather and can be affected by unforeseen circumstances so it may be necessary to change the start date at short notice. We will tow cars that are delaying our works. Please note that diversion routes will be in place where needed. Pedestrian access and access for emergency vehicles will be available at all times. Parking and access arrangements There will be no on-street parking and limited access to properties on the roads we are working on, during working hours. Please let our on-site supervisor know if you need vehicle access to your property for urgent reasons. Please let us know of your needs as soon as possible we will always try to accommodate them but there may be a delay while this is organised.

Bus service and bin collection changes Changes to your regular bus service or diversion routes will be publicised by South Yorkshire Passenger Transport (SYPTE). Please check your local bus stop or www.travelsouthyorkshire.com for any route changes. You can also call Traveline on 01709 515151 or follow @TravelSYorks on Twitter. If there are any changes to your bin collection days these will be communicated by Veolia at www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield on Twitter @Recycle4Shef or by calling 0114 273 4567 between 8am and 6pm. Road Safety We are working with the Council s Road Safety Team to remind all road users to watch out for others on the road and think about their needs. Please be patient and take extra care during road works. Make sure to allow extra time for your journey. Stick to the designated diversion routes and always drive within the speed limit and to suit the conditions of the road. The difference of a few miles per hour can mean the difference between life and death. Think! Slow down. Other road resurfacing in Sheffield We are resurfacing roads, upgrading street lights and upgrading the condition of pavements and roads across Sheffield, as part of our Streets Ahead highway maintenance programme. Most of the work will take place from now until 2017. Further information Please visit www.sheffield.gov.uk/fulwood for further information and updates about local works; you can also follow progress on Twitter @sccstreetsahead #SAA13. If you would like to discuss any issues, please contact us on 0114 273 4567 or email streetsahead@sheffield.gov.uk. Thank you We appreciate that any disruption can be frustrating and thank you for your understanding whilst these important works are completed. Kind regards Streets Ahead
