SMART MOTOR SENSOR (SMS) The condition of all your electric motors at your disposal anytime anywhere. TEST MOTORS -0-
SMART MOTOR SENSOR INTRODUCTION. SMS is the sensor designed by Test Motors for the online predictive maintenance of electric motors, very easy to install and start up. FEATURES. MONITORING SMS allows to monitor, in a simple way, all the motors of your production process at a very competitive price and predict your failures. EASY INSTALLATION SMS can be installed on any motor, new or used, in 5 minutes, even with the motor running. WIRELESS COMMUNICATION The sensor works with Wi-Fi communication and is powered by a battery of one year of autonomy. PREDICTION OF FAULTS. SMS predicts motor s failures from the Test Motors Cloud, and sends a notice through the mobile or web application. INDICATED FOR: Standard low voltage IEC motors. IEC frame from 90 to 355 and power from 0,37kW to 400 kw. Squirrel cage motors. Motors driven with frequency inverter or direct to line. TEST MOTORS -1-
HOW DOES IT WORK. SMART MOTOR SENSOR 1 2 SENSOR SMS monitors the vibration parameters of the motor, temperature, speed, electrical parameters and the operating parameters of the machine. FAULT PREDICTION The parameters are sent to the Test Motors Cloud, where Smatr_Soft, the expert system, predicts faults. 3 WEB PLATAFORM For monitoring the status of the motors, reception fault messages and displaying parameters monitored and characteristic of the motor. 4 MOBILE APP To configure the sensor, the communications network and receive alarm faults messages. THE DETECTED FAILURES ARE: Power supply problems. Overload. Stator isolation problems. Rotor bars and SC-Ring problems. Motor unbalance. Stator-rotor eccentricity. Motor misalignment. Bearing problems. Efficiency leakage. Cooling system problems. Structural problems. TEST MOTORS -2-
SENSOR INSTALLATION. 1 The costumer receives the sensor and can perform the installation even with the motor running. SMART MOTOR SENSOR 2 3 Fit the fixing clips to the motor frame, by a screwdriver using the cooling fins. Once the staples are fixed, a bicomponent adhesive is added to ensure the connection between the sensor and the motor. SENSOR CONFIGURATION. 1 2 3 The client must download the Smart Motor Sensor application available for ios and Android. Once the application is installed, the client must enter the sensor reference data. The customer must enter the motor data, available on the motor nameplate. CONFIGURATION OF THE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS. 1 2 Finally, the configuration of the Wi-Fi network that will cover the device has to be made. Now the sensor sends data to the Test Motors Cloud, and the motor status is monitored. TEST MOTORS -3-
SMART MOTOR SENSOR WEB PLATAFORM: Test Motors Cloud. Geolocation. The client has located all the motors monitored with the sensor, represented on a map, trough the website. Parameters. This screen indicates the parameters of the motor nameplate, previously entered by the customer. In addition, the battery status of the device can be displayed, as well as the motor operating data. SMART MOTOR SENSOR WEB PLATAFORM: Test Motors Cloud. Motor Status. This screen corresponds to the indication of the state in which the different components or parts of the motor are located. In it you can see the alarms messages detected by the SMS sensor, : Power supply problems. Overload. Stator isolation problems. Rotor bars and SC-Ring problems. Motor unbalance. Stator-rotor eccentricity. Motor misalignment. Bearing problems. Efficiency leakage. Cooling system problems. Structural problems. Graphics. We have all the data monitored by the sensor, both in waveform, frequency spectrum or RMS values: Vibrations X and Z. Temperature. Speed. Motor current. Motor load (%). Motor power. Energy consumption. Motor torque. Efficiency. Power factor. Hours of operation. Number of starts. TEST MOTORS -5-
MOBILE APP: SMS App. SMART MOTOR SENSOR Geolocation. Parameters. Motor Status. Graphics. Motor failure notice. With the Test Motor s Smartphone application, the customer receives a alarm message when there is a new fault in any motor monitored with the sensor. TEST MOTORS -6-
