Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. 3. 4. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose. 5. NOTE: The wiring harness bracket is located on the backside of the RH strut tower. 13. CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These tools cause scratches and gouges, which make leak paths. Use a plastic scraping tool to remove all traces of sealant. Clean the sealing surfaces. 14. 1. NOTE: If the valve cover is not secured within four minutes of sealant application the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness, or four minutes, which ever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage. 7. Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors. 8. CAUTION: Make sure that the wire harness inlet seal is seated in the valve cover or damage to the harness can occur. Inspect the gasket and install a new gasket as necessary.
