GCHFU Instruction Manual 01.14 Original document 9401.9011.1.docx The GCHFU instruction manual is based on the instruction manual electric chain hoist GCH (9401.9000.1). This supplement is a constituent of this instruction manual. Only chapters that have been added to or corrected are included. 0 General information The general information generally also apply to GCHFU models. 0.3 Special safety directions Start-up / operation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are clean and uncovered Ensure that the hot air that is led away can escape freely and does not constitute a hazard Radio or mobile telephones must not be used in close proximity to the unit if the housing doors are open The drive is not intended for use in a public low voltage network that supplies dwellings. Radio frequency interference can be expected if the equipment is used in such a network 0.5 Technical status 0.5.1 Technical data 0.5.1.7 Models GCHFU 250/500... The operating station consists of a two-stage pushbutton controller. Control mode: Press 1 st stage: Moves to a variable speed within a variable time. Press 2 nd stage: Moves to a second variable speed within a variable time. 2.2.1 Electrical connection The adapted electrical diagram can be found in the cover of the electric chain hoist. 2.2.5 Adjusting the parameters The raising and lowering speeds and the acceleration and deceleration times can be adapted by adjusting the parameters. These adjustments should be made by an expert. The factory-set parameters can be found in the cover of the electric chain hoist The way in which the chain hoist is raised can be modified by changing the parameters. The test runs described in chapters 2.2.6, 2.2.7 and 2.2.8 must be repeated whenever a change is made. GIS CHAIN HOIST SWISS QUALITY 1
2.2.6 Test run without load Ensure that the movement is not a source of danger to the surroundings and the crane itself. Please do not approach the limit positions Test limit switches manually if possible Check frequency display to ensure that the frequency changes over the entire frequency range from the minimum speed to the nominal speed Check motor operation (acceleration, deceleration and braking) Check limit switch functions: Slowly move in direction S1 and check limit switch operation. Check again at full speed. Perform same procedure for direction S2 2.2.7 Test run with load Ensure that the movement is not hazardous to the surroundings and the crane itself Move in both directions at minimum and maximum speed 2.2.8 Test run with overload If an overload test has to be performed during the crane start-up, the minimum frequency must be increased to 20Hz for the duration of the start-up. The minimum frequency can be modified using parameters P4 (for raising) and P5 (lowering). The minimum frequency must be restored to its original value after the test 2.2.9 After the test run All changes to the parameter values must be recorded in the parameter list Ensure that all settings correspond with the parameter list 2.3 Operation CAUTION! Note to residual hazard: In case of malfunction during operation, disable electric chain hoist immediately. 3 Service and maintenance 3.3 Ordering spare parts The relevant assembly drawing is supplementary to the spare part list.
