There were 2 Burglaries reported last week and 1 Attempt: 2018-4429: On 10/8 at approx. 9:25AM, Vic arrived back at her residence on Arlington Rd and noticed the side gate leading to the backyard was ajar. She closed the gate, unlocked the front door and fell asleep on a couch on the first floor of her residence. On 10/9 at approx. 7:30AM, Vic woke up and went upstairs to find that the window in her daughter s bedroom was open. At that time she noticed that all of the rooms upstairs showed obvious signs of burglary, all rooms ransacked. A small window over Vic s daughter s bed was forced open, with framework around the window broken and a lamp knocked off of a night table. The window screen and an indentation where someone had stepped were both found on the bed. Entry was then made through the second floor window facing the rear of the house. Burglary 2018-4459: ATTEMPT On 10/11 at approx. 5:20AM SP rang the doorbell on Francis St. When he got no response SP entered the rear/side stairwell through an unlocked door where he encountered Vic. Vic yelled at him to get out and SP fled the scene. Based on the description Vic gave of SP, Officers were able to stop for questioning. Officers found a piece of railing that matched the residence on SP, and SP claimed ownership of a duffel bag that was left at Vic s residence. Due to his state of confusion, SP will be summonsed for B&E with Intent to Commit Misdemeanor and Personal Property; Malicious/Wanton Injuries. 2018-4511: On 10/13 at approx. 6:05AM, Vic had left his residence on Weybridge Rd. Upon returning home at approx. 11:30AM, Vic discovered an item missing from the living room, noticed other items having been moved/missing and saw damage to a nearby window. It appears SP made entry through a ground floor window. Multiple rooms were targeted within the residence.
