1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Use,, & buttons to scroll to desired function or option. Press the OK button to select the desired mode or function. Use the ESC button to return to the main page. Press the MENU button (right arrow) to navigate to the menu screen. Active valves will be shown as red dots, inactive valves by black dots, and open valves by green dots 2. WORK LIGHTS (UP ARROW) Some chassis manufacturers utilize the back-up lights as work lights. Refer to the chassis manufacturer s instructions. Use the UP arrow to control the work lights (if installed) if they are controlled from this panel. Push the button once to turn the lights on (the indicator will turn from red to green). Push the button again to turn lights off (the indicator will turn red). 3. BEACON LIGHT (DOWN ARROW) If installed, the beacons (strobes) are controlled using the DOWN arrow button. Push this button once to turn the beacon on (the indicator will change from red to green). Push again to turn the beacon off (the indicator will return to red). 4. WATER TANK FILLING/PUMP PRIMING Ground Force recommends opening the water cannon isolation valve when filling the tank. Shut the water cannon isolation valve once the tank is full. If establishing a prime is difficult: 1. Drive the water truck to a steep ramp and stop facing uphill. 2. Start the water pump in manual and open the water cannon isolation valve. 3. Raise the engine speed to raise the water pump speed. 4. Observe the water flow from the water cannon. Once a clear stream (no air bubbles) is established, shut the water cannon isolation valve, but DO NOT turn off the water pump. 5. Start water pump delivery operations as soon as possible to prevent water pump overheating. 5. WATER PUMP CONTROL (BUTTON 1) The water pump must be started manually using BUTTON 1. The indicator next to the button will turn green when the water pump is running and will change to red when the pump is off.

Once the water pump is running and delivery flow has been established, leave the pump running unless there is a problem or if the delivery system will be idle for greater than five minutes. Stopping the water pump prematurely may allow the water pump to lose its prime (depending on water tank level). NOTE: The water pump will stop automatically as water drops below the low level shutoff set point. WARNING: Use of the pump on/off control to stop spray head function will result in damage to the pump. When starting the pump, the engine must be at an idle. High RPMs at start-up can damage the pump. 6. WATER PUMP MODES Verify water level is above low-level shut-off point, then start the water pump by pressing BUTTON 1. The water pump indicator will turn from red to green. Select Manual, Program or Auto by pressing BUTTON 5. Examine valve status indicators. If desired, engage the timer circuit to achieve a skip or intermittent spray pattern by pressing the OK button. The timer settings may be changed at any time - refer to SPRAY HEAD TIMER section for the procedure. 7. PROGRAM MODE In this mode the water pump speed is based on either engine speed or actual ground speed. Ground speed is only available in Program Mode if Auto mode is also available. The spray heads and auxiliary valves are controlled by toggling through the four different preset configurations using the left arrow button. Scroll through the preset valve configurations using the left arrow at the bottom of the display. Once the desired configuration is indicated, open the selected valves using BUTTONS 2 and/or 3 as required.

8. MANUAL MODE In this mode, the water pump speed is based on the speed of the engine. Refer to the VALVE SELECTION section to select spray heads and auxiliary valves. Open the active spray heads and the auxiliary valves by pushing BUTTONS 2 and/or 3. Examine the valve status indicators. If desired, the valve status may be changed at any time. Refer to the VALVE SELECTION section. 9. AUTO MODE (IF INSTALLED) The water pump speed is based on actual ground speed. The speed selected is the point the water pump will put out maximum water. If water output is too low, select a lower speed. If use of the water cannon is desired, switch to manual mode. Examine the valve status indicators to determine which valves will open. Refer to the VALVE SELECTION section to select spray heads and auxiliary valves. Open the desired valves using BUTTONS 2 and/or 3 as required. 10. SPRAY HEADS SELECT: MANUAL/AUTO On the main page, press SPRAY HEADS SELECT. Press the individual buttons to enable or disable the valves. 11. AUXILIARY VALVES SELECT: MANUAL/AUTO On the main page, Press AUX VALVES SELECT. Press the individual buttons to enable or disable the valves.

WATER CONTROL SYSTEM CAB GUIDE 12. VALVE SELECTION IN PROGRAM MODE On the main page, press the MENU button. Using arrows, select "Programs," then press OK. Select the program to be changed. Press OK. Enable or disable the valves as desired. Both spray head and auxiliary valves may be selected. Toggle between screens using the left and right arrows. Select the spray mode using the arrow buttons. After the desired spray mode and valve configuration have been selected, press ESC to return to the Program Selection page. If no more changes are desired, press ESC to return to the menu. Select the Main Page, then press OK to return to the Start-Up or Main Page. 13. SPRAY HEAD TIMER ADJUSTMENT On the main page press the menu button (Right Arrow) Use the up/down arrows to select Spray Heads Timer. Press OK. Adjust the on and off time (in seconds) for the spray heads. 14. GROUND SPEED CONTROL ADJUSTMENTS On the main page press the menu button (Right Arrow). Select Water Pump Variable Auto. Press OK. Use BUTTONS 7 & 8 to change the desired speed. WCS QUICK START_2.indd 5 11/7/2017 2:56:01 PM

15. STOPPING WATER PUMP OPERATIONS The water pump can be run without any spray heads open. It is preferred to stop water spray by turning off spray heads and leaving water pump running. The water pump may be stopped manually by pushing the water pump control button. After the water pump stops, the valve control functions must be turned off manually by pushing the master control buttons and the timer control button. WARNING: Do not cycle water pump on & off rapidly. 16. WATER CANNON For best results and optimum performance, ensure that the water pump is in the MANUAL mode. If necessary, start the water pump. Use the water cannon directional controls (joystick or push-button remote) to aim the water cannon away from equipment or personnel that may be damaged by the water stream. Use the AUXILIARY VALVE controls to open the water cannon isolation valve (Auxiliary valve #1). For most units, raising the engine speed will increase the range of the water cannon. Use engine speed in conjunction with the directional controls to direct the water stream as desired. Shut the water cannon isolation valve once its use is no longer desired, or after the water pump stops automatically as the tank empties. Stop the water pump (if necessary) after the water cannon isolation valve is shut. WARNING: The water stream from the water cannon is very powerful. Be sure that the water cannon is aimed away from equipment subject to water damage and all personnel prior to opening the water cannon isolation valve.
