Corporate presentation LTS epropulsion
LTS: Who are we? A company dedicated to bringing integrated electric propulsion systems to marine as well as land vehicles Privately held, based in Montreal, Canada Established in May 2009 We design, manufacture and assemble turn key systems, including: Motors and drives assembly Vehicle controller Energy reserve Onboard charging system Developed the first and only electric marine propulsion system capable of waterski tournament performance
Why LTS epropulsion? LTS epropulsion is a precursor in heavy industry propulsion system. Established in 2009, our systems benefit from extensive R&D efforts, multiple electrifications projects and numerous hours of real life testing. No other supplier has demonstrated performances comparable to what our systems can provide. All third party components used in our system are designed, tested and certified for automotive use. Our US based lithium-ion cell manufacturer has been supplying world class car manufacturers for a number of years More than 1.5 millions cells installed since 2004 More than 20 million miles driven since 2004 Our motor supplier, TM4 electrodynamic systems, is a proven leader in the design and production of electric power trains for the automotive and advance transportation world.
Railcar Mover Electrification
Railcar Mover Electrification Why a Mobile Railcar Mover? Large Industrial hubs greatly suffer from atmospheric pollution Tractive effort application are well suited to electric motors Torque converters typically installed on diesel machines waste huge amounts of energy
Railcar Mover Electrification Basic requirements Minimum Tractive effort: 180 KN (40 000 lbf) Pulling power: 25 cars+(134 tonnes (US) each) Max speed: 28 KPH+ (17 MPH) High pressure hydraulic system High capacity air compressor
Railcar Mover Electrification Conventional vehicle architecture Auxiliaries Alternator Compressor Air conditioning Axillaries Hydraulic Front axel / reduction gear Torque converter / transmission Diesel engine Rear axel / reduction gear Axillaries Transmission oil pump
Railcar Mover Electrification Electric vehicle architecture Powertrain Front axel / gear reduction TM4 SUMO MD Transmission Rear axel / gear reduction Auxiliaries AC industrial motor DC/AC converter Compressor Air conditionning Heating Oil pumps
Railcar Mover Electrification Electric vs Diesel powertrain Effective torque vs RPM Electric Diesel with torque converter Effective power vs RPM
Railcar Mover Electrification Commissioning Preliminary tests Tractive effort: 205 kn (46 000 lbf) Continuous power significantly above diesel with torque converter
Railcar Mover Electrification Commissioning On site testing Average power consumption: 14.3 kw Installed battery capacity sufficient for 8 hour shift
Railcar Mover Electrification Comparative energy consumption Diesel machine Yearly average consumption: 8000 L (2000 US gal.) Annual greenhouse gas equivalent: 19.2 tons Electric machine Yearly average energy consumption: 28,6 MWh

LTS Propulsion systems
LTS Integrated Systems Motors and drive Sourced from TM4, a leading edge electric drive manufacturer offering multiple advantages: Industry leading efficiency: Brushless permanent-magnet technology ensures exceptional performance over a wide range of speeds. Best in-class power density: Delivers more power with its excellent power-to-weight ratio, takes up less valuable space, and requires less raw material to produce The motor topology is based on an inverted rotor technology that maximizes the use of the magnets and reduces the amount of material Adherence to automotive standards: 99% of our electronic components are automotive-certified, assuring compliance with current industry best practices throughout the entire development cycle MФTIVE and SUMO standard systems provide cost effective solutions
