Determine Your Needs There is a variety of adaptive equipment that can meet your individual needs. So before visiting your participating dealership, consult with an expert at www.fcausdriveability.com to find out what modifications suit your lifestyle. Find the Right Vehicle FCA has numerous vehicles that can be adapted to meet the needs of you and your family. You don t necessarily have to own a minivan or truck many modifications can be made to other FCA US LLC vehicles. Find the vehicle you want and the adaptive equipment that you need. Find an Adaptive Equipment Dealer Once you ve narrowed down the equipment that s available for the vehicle that suits you best, it s time to speak with your local adaptive equipment dealer. They ll make sure that your new vehicle is modified in a way that meets your needs and is compliant with federal and state guidelines. $1,000 Rebate and Incentives Get up to a $1,000 rebate when you purchase adaptive equipment for your vehicle. Frequently Asked Questions: REIMBURSEMENT Q: What is the time limit for this reimbursement? A: The adaptive equipment must be installed within six months of vehicle purchase or lease. A claim form and all associated paperwork must be submitted to Driveability Program Headquarters within 60 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment. (For complete guidelines, see the online application at www.fcausdriveability.com or call (800) 255-9877.) Q: Can this program be used as a rebate and applied to the purchase or lease price of the vehicle? A: No. This is a reimbursement to the customer after the adaptive equipment is installed and paid for. Q: Can I use this reimbursement in addition to other FCA US LLC incentives? A: Automobility reimbursements are available to customers and may be in addition to any other applicable FCA US LLC cash or lease incentive programs in effect at the time you buy or lease your new vehicle. Also, the Automobility reimbursement will not be affected by any additional outside funding you may secure to help cover the costs of your vehicle conversion. FINANCING Q: Can you help finance the adapted vehicle I purchase/lease? A: Our dealers can assist in the finance process for the cost of your new vehicle, as well as any modifications you make to it. Conventional financing is available; see your dealer for details. EQUIPMENT Q: Does factory-optional equipment qualify for this program? A: No. Factory-optional equipment is not reimbursable under the Driveability Program. Q: Do I need a prescription or note from my doctor? A: For running boards, alerting devices and other similar-type adaptations, you ll need to provide a prescription or medical documentation on a physician s letterhead. However, for many adaptations, such as hand controls and wheelchair or scooter hoists, you are not required to provide a medical note or prescription from a doctor. Q: Does the equipment have to be installed by a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or FIAT dealer? A: No. The equipment may be installed by any reputable and qualified adaptive equipment dealer selected by the customer. FCA US LLC recommends any major structural modifications be completed by a factory-approved vehicle conversion company, which is also a member of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA). VEHICLES Q: Does this program apply to used vehicles? A: No. This program only covers new vehicles. Q: Does this program apply to leased vehicles? A: Yes. New vehicles which are leased for a minimum of 12 months are eligible for reimbursement. Contact your dealer for additional eligibility requirements.
