S GENERAL Thanks to the long experience of EdM and to the sophisticated calculation and design techniques, our transformers for distribution, rectifiers and distribution can be realised in a very large range of sizes, primary and secundary tensions, insulation classes and losses Following tables refer to the technical features of some of the transformers in our production range, choosen according to the most common types requested in power distribution applications For slightly different tensions (e.g. +/- 10%), the technical data change in a corresponding minor way. Different sizes, as like as different primary and secundary tensions are anyhow part of our production range and in our application experience. In this case it is useful to ask us for a confirmation of the technical data The construction features of EdM transformers 1 HV windings: resin coils, cast under vacuum; the aluminium windings minimise the thermal stress 2 Core composed oh three columns made in grain oriented magnetic steel sheets 3 LV windings of aluminuim foil and insulation material impregnated under vacuum LV connections usually at the top, on the bottom on demand 5 HV connections also available with elbow Elastimold Spacers with plastic and rubber inserts reducing vibration and hence the noise of the transformer 7 Off load tap changing links on the HV winding, allow step by step regulation to suit the supply voltage 8 Frame construction manufactured of robust painted steel 9 Bi-directional wheels in two perpendicular directions 10 The epoxy resin insulation has a high inflammability point and high self estinguishing characteristics; furthermore the maintenance requirements are reduced to a minimum 11 The control of the operating temperature of the transformer is by PT or PTC probes, placed in the LV windings and, on request, on the core 12 Lifting lugs for safe lifting on points 13 Optional direct connection of the LV outputs to the Zucchini busbars 1 The careful choice of the Class F insulation materials allow for a winding temperature rise of 80 or C 15 The frame is predisposed for the mounting of a solidal metal sheet enclosure Technical Data ed. 01/03/02
