Supply of Batteries 207-8 Sealed tenders are invited in 2 bid form from the BATTERY MANUFAC- TURERS/AUTHORISED BATTERY DEALERS/DISTRIBUTORS OR EM- PANELLED UPS VENDORS HAVING SALES AND SERVICE FACILITIES ACROSS KERALA for supply & installation of various capacities of Batteries of approved makes of Batteries as per our requirement. First cover shall contain Technical Bid and indicative price bid shall be submitted in separate sealed cover super scribed as Supply of Tubular Batteries with buy back offer. The total tentative units under each category will be 00 units. Eligibility Criteria: i. The Battery manufacturers/ Authorized dealers/distributor or Empaneled UPS vendors should have sufficient sales and service network, offices across Kerala. List of offices to be submitted. ii. Proof of valid Authorized dealership, proof of GST registration certificate to be submitted. iii. They should have sales and service facility in Kerala. iv. They should have supplied similar capacity Batteries to Govt/PSU /Banks/Insurance companies / reputed IT firms etc. v. The vendor must possess valid Digital certificate in the name of Company to take part in Reverse Auction Activity.. The technical bid shall be submitted in a separate envelope super scribed Supply of Tubular Batteries with buy back offer Technical bid and shall contain the following documents. A Copy of Banks approval / empanelment letter in case of UPS vendors shall be submitted. List of service facility with address and contact persons/number etc. Copy of Valid Authorization document. Experience certificate/ work order copy from Govt/PSU /Banks/Insurance companies / reputed IT firms etc. The enclosed technical specifications to be submitted duly filled with remarks ACCEPTED or NOT ACCEPTED and signed and 3

In case of any deviation, a separate detailed deviation statement may be enclosed if no deviation statement is enclosed then it will be deemed that the tenderer has accepted all our terms and conditions and the rates quoted accordingly. Please do not enclose the company profile / other irrelevant material. The vendor must submit indicative price bid as per the format in Annexure A in a separate seal cover along with the Technical bid. The indicative price bid will be only utilized for arriving the start price and the same need not be start price of the auction. Technical bid cover shall not contain the price bid or copy of the same or any indicative price bid. Tenders not complying to the above will not be accepted. 2. Your technical bid should reach us at State Bank of India, Premises & Estate Department, Local Head Office, 4 th Floor, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram 69502 on or before the scheduled date. The technical bids shall be opened on the same day at 3.30pm. 3. The price bid process is through e-procurement (reverse auction) which will be conducted by M/s E-procurement Technologies, Ahmadabad. Battery manufacturers, Authorized dealers/ Distributors of Exide, Southern Batteries, Kirloskar, AMCO Insta power brands& Empaneled ups vendors having service facilities across Kerala are only eligible to participate in the tender. 5. The technical quote will be evaluated first and only eligible vendors are allowed to participate in the reverse auction after scrutiny of the technical bid. 6. Bank reserves the right not to allow any vendor, for participating in the reverse auction, basing on their response in the technical bid. The proposed date of reverse auction will be on 06.07.7 at 3.00PM. The reverse auction date is tentative. Your offer should be valid till 3.07.208. 7. L vendor, immediately on completion of the reverse auction activity, has to provide the unit-wise prices of all the items in the tender to the Bank. Successful vendors should be prepared to supply additional quantities also to the Bank as and when orders are placed during the validity period of the tender. These prices will be advised to all our offices in Kerala and the prices quoted are applicable for the orders received by you from all our offices in Kerala. 8. In case L vendor has expressed their inability to deliver the required quantity ordered by the Bank as per Tender terms and conditions during the period of contract, Bank has the right to order the same through the L2 & L3 vendors at the L price in the ratio of 50:50. 9. Each line item is treated as an individual item and order for the various battery ratings will be placed against the respective L after finalization. 0. All pages of the tender document shall be signed by authorized signatory and stamped. All corrections shall be duly signed and stamped. Bids received after the above date/time will not be considered.. Please quote separately for each of items and indicate the ratings of battery (viz., 2 V, AH and no. of batteries for each item) in the format given below. Supply of Batteries 207-8 ed. However, Tenderer s quoting Higher AH over and above our specification/requirement will not be given any additional cost/weight age. 2. Batteries should carry a minimum warranty of 4 years for Tubular Batteries. On Site Warranty should include free replacement of b a t t e r i e s during the warranty period. 3. The rate should be inclusive of all duties, taxes (GST), levies, loading, transport, transit insurance, unloading, delivery at the required location, Installation etc less buy back offer. It shall also include all the interconnecting cables required for connection of Batteries. Battery stand shall be quoted as per the format. The Octroi charges /Entry Tax (if applicable) will be paid separately, wherever it is applicable on production of original bills/receipts. The rates shall be firm throughout the execution of the order. No variation in the quoted rates subsequently will be allowed and no additional claims other than quoted rates will be entertained. The rates should be inclusive of the delivery and installation charges at our sites. Note: Battery stand will be procured only on need basis 4. Payment terms: i) No advance is payable. ii) On receipt of complete materials with satisfactory onsite installation, testing and commissioning 00% of cost will be paid. iii) However, where delivery has been made but installation, testing commissioning could not be carried out due to the site not ready/clear 75% of cost will be paid. iv)further, 25% will be paid on completion of installation, testing and commissioning. 5. Bank reserves the right to reject the offer without assigning reason or what so ever. 6. The Batteries should be installed within 4 weeks from the date of confirmed purchase order. If the delivery is not done within the stipulated time period, a penalty of ½ % will be levied on the cost per week or part 6

The Battery shall conform to the Bank s standard specifications supplied with this notice and any deviation will be suitably penalized. Conditional tenders are not acceptable. In case of any deviation, a separate detailed deviation statement may be enclosed. If no deviation statement is enclosed, then it will be deemed that the tenderer has accepted all our terms and conditions and the rates quoted accordingly. 8. Whenever interstate movement is involved, the compliance and completion of statutory formalities including matters relating to transport, all other taxes and delivery of Battery at the bank specified premises it is at the sole responsibility of and at the cost of vendor only. In case any document is to be signed for the purpose, the same may be obtained by the vendors representative from the specified office/branch of the bank and the same will be signed and returned by the bank after due verification. 9. Please note that if the technical bid contains the price bid or copy of the same or any indication to the quoted price, the tender will be rejected outright. Failure to enclose any /all of the necessary documents and to submit the tender in the required format etc, will disqualify the tender. 20. Bank reserves the right to ask the vendors to divert the ordered Batteries for a particular site to a different location / city / site, if the situation so warrants. 2. Please note that vendors with wide coverage of service centers in all our zones only will be considered. 22. Bank reserves the right to issue work order for batteries of higher AH rating for lower rated AH batteries while going for up gradation and vendor shall accept for the same. 23. In the event of failure or not adhering of tender terms and conditions to execute the contract after the award of work to L vendor, the EMD 7
