Preamble Here we are! In this year, the TAMIYA EURO-CUP one of the oldest European R/C challenges starts its 23 rd season and organizes after a longer break and based on the demands of the driver s community, the European Finals. The TAMIYA EURO-CUP is a pure cup for the trademark TAMIYA and is not competing with separate challgenges of the DMC, EFRA or IFMAR. It creates a platform for many hobby drivers to enable them to practice this fascinating hobby of R/C car racing with other international drivers. As this cup with its interesting opportunities, its awards and its main event, the European Finals in Steyregg, Austria, is fully financed by the company DICKIE TAMIYA, it is quite understandable that we focus on the products we are selling. A. Common Regulations 1. All drivers named by their respective countries are suitable for participation. 2. The participants compete in the TAMIYA European Finals at their own risk. They bear full responsibility for all damages caused by them, respectively their cars. The drivers disclaim the company DICKIE TAMIYA, its owner, staff and their employees and assistants from any regress for accidents and damages in connection with the European Finals. 3. As a member of FAR, the company DICKIE TAMIYA holds an insurance for all races and the finales. 4. The organizer of the Eurocup Finals has the right to claim an entry fee from the participants. 2
B. Basic regulations 1. Only TAMIYA R/C cars as well as spare- and tuningparts of labels TAMIYA and CARSON, which are assigned to the used chassis in the respective class are allowed to be used. Any modification of the parts, respectively mechanical treatment is forbidden. In principle: If it is not specifically allowed, it is forbidden! 2. The bodies must be cut out according to the instruction manual. The driver can omit accessories such as additional head lights, wipers and rear-view mirrors. The livery is up to the driver s wish. Windows and main lights must have different color. Spare bodies containing accessories, not included in the original kit, can be used with these parts, as long as this does not offend the regulations of the specific class. 3. Traction control and gyro-systems are forbidden, even if they can be switched off. 4. The servo saver is generally up to the driver s choice. 5. Implementation of fans and heat sinks with fans is allowed. It is strictly forbidden to use electro-thermical devices (peltier-elements) and cooling sprays!! 6. It is allowed to shorten the motor shaft of the brushless motors to ease the mount of the pinion gears (no modifications on the motors handed over by the organizer). 7. Transport, storage and charging of LiPo batteries has to be made in specific LiPo containers. During the event no LiPo batteries must be accessible (without container) in the driver s area. Violation of this rule leads to immediate exclusion from the event. The organizational team reserves the right for further activities. Charging of the LiPo batteries is only allowed according to the manufacturer s recommendations with balancer and in a closed LiPo container. Any kind of thermal treatment is forbidden! Peak charge voltage: 8.40V; maximum voltage at the starting grid: 8.42V (only valid for LiPo). 8. To improve the verification of the inserts it is allowed to enlarge the small hole in the rims up to 4mm. 3
9. In the class Top Stock, no screws made from aluminium or titanium are allowed to enlarge stability and maintainability it is allowed to replace the tap screws by metric screws. 4
C. Specific regulations 1. Severe violations of the regulations, such as motor manipulations (Use of other rotors or modified coils) manipulations of the batteries manipulations of the speed controlers offensive fraud of the organizers and the technical inspection assault on other competitors, supporters or the organizers violation of the charging- and storage rules for the LiPo batteries will lead to immediate exclusion of the driver. 2. All violations not mentioned here will be controlled on-site by race-control and the regional advisors, respectively the organizer. 3. In all decisions, the organizational committee (TAMIYA) overrules the race control and the technical inspection. 5
D. Specific regulations for trademark protection The trademark TAMIYA is a registered trademark and protected by our company in Germany. The import of TAMIYA products into the European Union is forbidden, will be prosecuted and leads to immediate exclusion. E. Regulations for the specific classes The participants have the opportunity to compete in six classes: 1. Top Stock 2. Super-Stock 3. Euro-TC 4. Euro-GT 5. M-Chassis 6. F104 6
1. Regulations of the Top Stock class Drivers in this class must be born in 1994 or later. Chassis Battery Motors: All TT01/TT01E- and TT-02-variants delivered by DICKIE-TAMIYA. Chassis Battery Motors: 4. Regulations for the Euro-GT class All TAMIYA 4WD Chassis LiPo s (2S) from the CARSON catalog and LiPos compatible with EFRA regulations. Attention: Specific rules see point B-7 are mandatory!! - batteries up to 6-cell (SUB-C) NiCd and NiMh are allowed Attention: It is forbidden to solder the cables directly to the batteries (hardwiring) Carson Dragster up to 10T Speed CARSON Dragster Sport SL controler: Reduction Free Body All TAMIYA and CARSON-touring car bodies.
