At the GSR Assembly, April 19, 2014 there were only 9 GSR s present out of the 19 groups in our area ( very sad); yet, for those that attended and carried your groups conscience thank you! I have given each GSR/Representative a copy of the tallied votes collected (read tallies, if needed). In June 2014 we will have the final decision of NA for the respected votes. In our RSC, April 19, 2014 we opened our meeting with the Open Sharing Portion. At 7:15 p.m. we started our RSC. Out of the 17 Areas within our Region there were only 10 present. XII. Subcommittee Reports A. Activities Report: Report Given by Activities Chairperson, Julie C. Dear ASC Activities is hosting a Speaker s Jam on May 17, 2014 at Falmouth Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. followed by a dance at the United Methodist Church (dumpster meeting) from 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. with a $5.00 suggested donation for the dance. We would like for literature to provide or be present at this event just in case an addict is in need of literature. We would also like for H&I and PR to have a table together at this event just in case there maybe addicts interested. As of right now we have already received the bid from JMC, LLC for recording this event in the amount of $150.00; rent $75.00; chicken $54.00/case (approximately 600 pieces); fish $90.80 40lb box; grease $28.00. This isn t including plates, sodas and waters, utensils, coffee, creamer, bread, potato salad(limited amount), greens(limited amount), sugar and Splenda, paper towels, some type cleaning products, and change for food. So we estimate at least receiving $800.00 out our budget. In June s ASC there will be an accurate account of every dollar spent. Pricing will be as follows: Fish/Chicken platters- 2 pieces of bread, fish, sides, and a drink $6.00; Fish sandwich- $3.00; 6-chickens/bread- $3.00; sodas/ water.75. Please spread the news!!!! This is my last event during my term. It s been a pleasure serving but I want to give another member the chance to bring their newness to this area. In closing, I would like to nominate Ashley for Activities Chair during the proper nominations slot. In Loving Service, Julie C. Discussion about term ending in August and summer events B. Hospitals & Institutions (H&I) Report: Given by Vice Chair, John C (Waiting for report from H&I Chair) Page 5

C. Literature Chair Report: Given by Chair, Margret D. Literature order for March was 327.52 we owed Freestate a balance of 7.41 (I believe). Order for April was 421.43. I underestimated the amount of the order by 29.29. Check was sent to Freestate in the amount of 392.14. Since I miscalculated the amount of April s order, the past due amount of 7.41 was not included in the total amount. We now owe Freestate a total amount of 36.70. I have spoken with Frank D at Freestate and advised him that the past due amount will be included with the order for June 2014. The PR Handbook which sells for $9.00 was not shipped to us from Freestate. This was already on backorder, they will be shipped to us with the June order. They sent us a PR 10 page booklet by mistake. It is with much regret that I must resign my position at the end of June since I will be relocating to Charleston, SC. Thanks for allowing me to serve! We are also considering keeping the 1-12 steps format but also include tradition studies. So one week will be step 1 the next week will be tradition 1 and so on/ It is likely we will go with the latter format adjustment. We will have more info on that next area.
