The chapter is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of Pontiac, Oakland and GMC vehicles of all years and models, stock and modified. Club events are organized for the enjoyment of our members. All letters to the editor should be signed. Articles, letters and editorial content represent the opinions and viewpoints of the authors and not necessarily that of the Tomahawk Chapter or POCI. web site: tomatalk.org Officers President - Tony Miller 8044 Wood Duck Tr. President s Message Our September meeting was a success with 17 members enjoying the hospitality provided by Norm s Tire. Joy again went above and beyond by providing not only a great place to meet, but regaled us with wonderful treats (a hint to my wife here - with a wink and a smile, of course) and a drawing for prizes. Thanks to both Norm s and to Joy personally. Business was discussed, with a mention that some members are having trouble obtaining the jackets that were ordered. This has been addressed by Terry Ford and everyone should be seeing the jackets soon. Upcoming ideas include a possible alliance in working the Muscle Car Classic show with the GTO Club which we will discuss further in October. We hope to see you at the Rosetown Legion on the 17th for our next membership meeting. Tony Miller, Tomahawk Chief Page 2

August Meeting Minutes 9/19/17 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM at Norm s Tires in Roseville. There were 18 members present. The minutes from last month s meeting were read and accepted. Jim Notch gave a treasurer s report and it was accepted. Old Business: Several members were upset in the delays in getting their club anniversary jackets. New Business: There was a lot of discussion on the 2018 POCI convention. As of today all rooms at the host hotel are sold out. There are two overflow hotels listed on www.poci.org. Harley Hanson is planning a fall color tour or October 7. We are invited. October Membership Meeting October 17th 7:00 pm Rosetown American Legion 700 W. Meanwhile... Back at the Pontiac Ranch The leaves are falling but there is still some time left here in October for convertible rides! My son just purchased the cool blue 88 Sunbird GT pictured above. It has 71K actual miles, he s the 3rd owner. It s a great ride - who knows, maybe these 80s Pontiacs will be worth taking care of and hanging on to? 2018 POCI Convention Wisconsin Dells, WI June 24-28, 2018 (Sunday-Thursday) POCI s 2018 Convention announcements are being published in the Smoke Signals. Goat-land Auction in Hutchinson! Mike Arries sent over some photos from the September 30th GTO and GTO parts auction that was held in Hutchinson, MN. Wow, lots of project cars and tons of GTO parts. 2017 Pontiac Adventures Check out this group of Pontiacs! Here are the attendees at the 2017 Pontiac Adventures held at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. Several Tomahawk members made the trip and we all had a great time. As you know, this will be the site for POCI s 2018 Convention next June. There were, I believe, around 80 registrations and it looks like 60 Pontiacs were on display in the photo above. Thanks to Chris, Debbie, Joe and Ed for putting on another great event! Enjoy the photos, more next issue... Dan Reed Ian Bergstrom Al & Kathy Longley Page 7
