Dylighting Systems Instlltion Tips (Continued) Allow t lest 2-3 hours for the instlltion, prtiulrly if this is your first instlltion. During the dy, turn off ll the lights in the room to see how muh nturl light omes in through the windows, nd determine the est position for the Soltue Dylighting System. To light speifi re, ple the system over the re, not in the enter of the room. This will prevent the desired re from eing shded y tll ojets in the room. Mesure the distne etween the roof nd the eiling. If you don t hve enough tuing, ontt your Soltue Interntionl representtive for dditionl tuing. Avoid roof lotions shded y trees, ridges nd himneys, or ner wter hnnels or vlleys. Also void roof res with ostrutions suh s fire sprinklers, HVAC equipment, gs, wter or drin pipes, ir duts or flues nd mke sure tht the roof is dequte to endure n instlltion without dmging its wterproofing properties or wekening the uilding struture. All dhesives, sels nd tpes re reommended to e pplied to len nd dry surfe t minimum of 70 F (21 C) for mximum performne. Foil tpe ontins pressure sensitive dhesive nd pressure must e pplied t ll sems for proper onding. Foil tpe is not intended for use s struturl support of the extension tues. CAUTION: To void dmge to the Dylight Dimmer Ciruit Bord use only 9V ttery to mnully operte dmpers. See Optionl Step on pge 8. Generl Ciruit Limittions: (7) Soltue Dylight Dimmers per 20VA trnsformer nd (17) Soltue Dylight Dimmers per 96VA trnsformer. Mx le length etween units 60 ft (18.29 m) for mximum of 50 Soltue Dylight Dimmers per ontroller. Ensure Plement of Dylight Dimmer Juntion Box is uniform for ll units in instlltion for ese of wire onnetion nd for est esthetis. For ese of wire onnetion to terminl loks do not strip wire more thn 3/16. Segregte power nd signl les entering into juntion ox to void rossover noise. Also, ross the ontrol lines nd the power lines perpendiulr inside juntion ox to void noise. Avoid umping pitors on PCB (Printed Ciruit Bord) to redue risk of dmge. If pitors re umped nd eome loose, reple entire juntion ox s improper funtionlity of Dylight Dimmers is highly prole. Importnt Souring Notes The Soltue 0-10v Dylight Dimmer is dylight tutor. It is importnt to soure ontrols for n tutor rther thn dimmer. The Soltue 0-10v Dylight Dimmer does not hve lod to ontrol. If using ontrols tht re equipped with n internl/externl rely or lod ontrol, it will e neessry to use n dditionl 20VA trnsformer to ontrol the system (see wire shemti t the end of these instrutions). 3

One or more Dylight Dimmer(s) in series osillte without hnge in lighting ontrol ommnd Wiring/Connetion Issue Wiring-Grounding Connetion Review nd test the first funtioning Dylight Dimmer in series prior to the osillting unit. Chek ll wires re properly onneted. Ensure ll strnds re in terminl loks; no strnds re loose or protruding from terminl onnetion. One finished move on to the next Dylight Dimmer in series nd repet proess. Test eh Dylight Dimmer efore moving on. Chek wire onnetions t ontroller to ensure ll line, neutrl, ground nd lod re onneted orretly. Chek ground onnetions t trnsformer nd Juntion Box. Dmged omponent on PCB Using Multimeter, hek for AC Voltge etween (+ & -) pins on CNTR IN nd CNTR OUT terminls. If >0.05VAC, review Printed Ciruit Bord (PCB) to see whether ny omponents hve een ompromised (during instlltion). If Cpitors or Terminl Bloks re loose or missing, reple entire J-Box.
