Accessory Fuse Block Please read this entire manual before proceeding with installation. Kit Components: (1) Fuse Block Assembly (1) Harness (1) Positive power cable (1) Negative power cable (5) Pigtails (10) Butt connectors Tools Required T40 Torx wrench T27 Torx wrench 8mm wrench 14mm socket Flat head screw driver
Step 1 Disconnect Negative cable from battery Note: Failure to disconnect battery before install could result in damage to the vehicle Step 2 - Remove Air intake tube Unplug IAT sensor Pull to remove vent hose barb fitting
-Use flathead screwdriver to loosen pipe clamp on both ends of intake tube -Gently remove intake tube and set aside
Step 3 Attach power cables to fuse block -Attach the red positive power cable to stud on bottom of fuse box as pictured Note: Slide the red boot over the stud terminal after it is tightened down. Positive stud ( + ) Attach Ground wire to stud as pictured. Negative ( - ) Ground stud
Step 4 install fuse block -Loosen drive side hood latch bolts with T40 Torx wrench, exposing approximately 1/8 of threads. Note: Do not completely remove bolts! -Remove Clutch Reservoir with 8mm wrench and set reservoir to the side Note: Make sure lid is completely tight to avoid spilling fluid from reservoir during removal. -Slide Fuse block bracket over hood latch bolts. -Reattach clutch reservoir as pictured. -Tighten hood latch bolts
Step 5 Attach power cables to vehicle Route the positive power cable, and install Zip ties as pictured. Zip ties Note: make sure to tie positive lead away from sharp edges/corners and moving parts -Pull rubber boot from Alternator terminal - Use 14mm socket to loosen nut from terminal. -Install Fuse block power cable ring terminal onto alternator stud -Tighten terminal and reinstall terminal boot
-Route negative power cable and install zip ties as pictured. Zip tie
- The factory ground strap is located on the back of the engine cylinder head, located above the oil filter housing. - Use a T27 Torx wrench to remove the ground strap, install the fuse block ground cable as pictured. - Route the ground cable along the factory cable for best fitment. T27 Torx bolt Oil Filter housing
Step- 6 Install Harness Option #1 To use factory switch location - Remove Radio face plate by removing the 4 bolts pictured. - Insert 10 pin plug of harness through access hole, and route as pictured below Option # 1-1 Route harness under ECU for (best fitment) Option # 1-2 Route harness around ECU along tubular frame (easiest method) Radio access hole / Factory Switch location
Option #2 To use Madstad switch panel -Remove 3 Push button plastic rivets from under dash. -Remove black plastic filler panel and discard Filler panel Plastic push rivets Steering shaft -Route harness under ECU, from the left side of the steering shaft -The 10-pin Plug should exit from under ECU as pictured below Steering shaft
- Route the yellow key-on ignition source pig tail up over steering shaft, towards the passenger side of vehicle. The pigtail should exit in the engine bay as pictured below. -Tuck unused pigtails behind dash Note: Tape up or terminals, or remove fuses from unused circuits to prevent short circuits.
-Install ABS filler plate (included with Switch panel kit) -Reinstall Push Rivets - Tuck tabs of filler plate up into dash Tuck tabs into dash Install plastic push rivets
Step 7 Connect Key-on ignition source wire to glovebox charger plug The fuse block it uses the power from your 12V port in your glovebox as a Key-on Signal -Route Key on ignition source wire as pictured - Tuck behind Coolant reservoir - Unplug positive wire from Glove box charger port - Connect charger wire to red pigtail on harness, and connect yellow wire onto 12V charger plug terminal
Note: if factory terminal seems loose on the blade terminal, gently squeeze connector with pliers to tighten it up Step 8 -Connect switches to harness The harness has 5 switch s, Each can be configured with either a constant voltage or Key-on ignition. Each Switch uses its own individual color that corresponds with the accessory output color code. Constant 12v Input- Configuring your switches with the gray constant voltage will allow your accessories to be switched on or off regardless of ignition key position. Key-on Ignition - Configuring your switches with the yellow key-on ignition will only allow the accessories to switch on while the ignition key is on or in the ACC position.
Connect your switches as pictured, using either the yellow or gray wire on the switch s center post, and connecting an accessory wire (Orange, purple, pink, blue or brown) to the remaining post. Yellow (Key-on, igniton) OR GRAY (Constant 12v) Switch Accessory wire: Orange Purple Pink Blue Brown Step 9 attach pigtails to accessories Use provided butt connectors to attach pigtails to your accessorie power s Black = Negative/Ground - Colored wire = Positive + The switch harness is color coded to match the accessory outputs, so match up color codes with plugging in your accessory pigtails.
