If the instrutions are not followed, the mount or the projetor ould fall ausing injury or aident to our. Installation should be performed by at least two people. Also, make sure you have a seure, stable footing so that you do not drop the mount or the projetor. 1

Using the Produt Safely Warning Make sure you attah the safety wire supplied with the projetor to prevent the mount from falling due to earthquakes or vibrations. Do not attah anything to this mount exept for a projetor from EPSON. Otherwise, the mount may falls and ould ause death or personal injury. When installing, make sure you install a breaker (with a rated urrent of 10 A or less) in a loation within reah. If any problems our during installation, turn off the internal wiring immediately. Note the following when handling the power able. Otherwise, it ould ause a fire or eletri shok. Do not handle the plug with wet hands Do not use a damaged or modified power able Do not apply exessive fore to the power able Do not trap the able between parts of the mount and so on during installation When installing, do not pull or apply exessive fore to the able onneted to the projetor. Do not wind ables around the projetor or the mount. When wiring ables and so on, route the ables so that it avoids the srews and bolts. If the ables ome into ontat with srews or bolts, it ould ause a fire or eletri shok to our. Make sure you tighten the srews or bolts ompletely when installing. If they are not tightened ompletely, the mount or the projetor ould fall ausing injury or aident to our. Never loosen the srews or bolts after installation. Make sure that you hek for any loose srews or bolts on a regular basis, and if any are loose, tighten them ompletely. Using the Produt Safely Warnings and Cautions on the Installation Loations Do not attah this mount to the floor. This mount an only be installed on a eiling or a wall. Warning Chek the struture and material of the surfae to whih the mount will be installed, and use the optimum installation method. Make sure the surfae to whih the mount will be installed is strong enough. The total maximum weight of the projetor and Diret Mount is approximately 7.0 kg (approx. 5.1 kg for the projetor/approx. 1.9 kg for the Diret Mount) (not inluding ables). Do not install the mount or projetor in an unstable loation where it might be subjeted to vibrations or shoks. The surfae to whih the mount is attahed may be damaged. Also, the mount or projetor may fall and ause an injury or aident to our. Do not install or use the projetor in loations where it ould be exposed to rain or water, suh as outdoors, in baths or shower rooms. Otherwise, it ould ause a fire or eletri shok. Do not use the projetor in a loation subjet to ombustible or explosive gas. If the inside of the projetor gets too hot, it ould ignite and ause a fire. Do not over the projetor's air intake vent or air exhaust vent. If either of the vents are overed, the projetor's internal temperature ould rise and ause a fire. Caution Do not install the projetor in a loation outside the projetor's operating temperature range. Suh an environment may damage the projetor. Install it away from air outlets suh as air onditioners. If the air from an air onditioner and so on flows diretly over the projetor, the temperature rises and the projetor may not operate orretly. Install it away from fluoresent lights. Some kinds of fluoresent lights ould interfere with the remote ontrol of the projetor. Installation Proedure Preparing the Projetor Adjust the orientation of the projetor to make installing easier. a b Plae the projetor on a flat surfae on a soft loth. Loosen the srew for the ball joint with a hexagonal wrenh supplied. Change the projetor's orientation. You an hange the orientation of the projetor as shown below. d Tighten the srew for the ball joint with a hexagonal wrenh to seure it in plae. Make sure you tighten the srew ompletely so that the ball joint does not move during installation. 12

Installation Proedure Attahing the Projetor Mount to the Projetor a Plae the projetor on your workbenh. Plae the projetor on a soft loth on a workbenh (330 mm high). b Plae the projetor mount on the projetor. Align the srew holes on the projetor's Diret Mount fixing points with the srew holes on the projetor's mount. 13

Installation Proedure Seure the projetor mount to the top of the projetor using the M4 x 12 mm srews supplied (x4). Caution Make sure you use the srews supplied. 14

Installation Proedure Attahing the Ceiling Mount to a Ceiling or a Wall Chek the position where you want to projet the image, and determine the mounting position for the eiling mount. s"projetion Distane Table" p.8 Make sure you take into onsideration the struture (strength and so on) of the eiling or wall on whih you will install the eiling mount. Make sure you aquire ommerially available items to be used for installation. Mounting hole positions and dimensions Anhor bolt mounting hole (M10) Wood srew mounting hole (nominal diameter 4.1) 15

Installation Proedure Installing the Safety Wire Install the safety wire supplied to prevent the projetor from falling. Caution Attah the wire firmly so that it annot ome loose. a Attah the wire hook mount supplied to the eiling or the wall. When installing the wire hook mount, use ommerially available wood srews with a nominal diameter of 3.8 mm. Make sure that the wood srews enter at least 20 mm into the eiling or underlying wall. b Loosen the arabiner for the safety wire supplied. Insert the loosened arabiner through the shaft of the eiling mount, and then tighten. d Attah the arabiner for the safety wire to the wire hook mount attahed to the eiling or the wall. 16

Installation Proedure Combining the Projetor Mount with the Ceiling Mount a Fit the groove for the projetor mount over the shaft for the eiling mount. b Slide the projetor mount along the groove. Make sure that the opposite side of the projetor mount fits into the hook setion of the eiling mount. Insert the protruding setion for the projetor mount into the hole on the eiling mount. d Seure the projetor mount to the eiling mount using the M4 x 12 mm srews supplied (x4). 17

Installation Proedure Conneting Cables a Connet the power able to the projetor's power inlet. Seure it with the able lamp supplied to prevent the power able from disonneting under its own weight. If there is enough spae inside the mount, you an store any able left hanging out as shown below. Make sure the able does not get damaged on the edges of anhor bolts and so on. b Connet the neessary ables and the SD ard to the projetor's interfae. s"connetable Devies and Neessary Cables" p.7 18

Installation Proedure Adjusting the Orientation of the Projetor Use the ball joint to adjust the orientation and the angle of the projetor. a Loosen the srew for the ball joint with a hexagonal wrenh. b Adjust the orientation of the projetor. When you have finished making adjustments, seurely tighten the srew for the ball joint setion with a hexagonal wrenh. After adjusting the orientation of the projetor, turn on the power and adjust the size and fous of the projeted image. For more details, see the User's Guide supplied with the projetor. 19
