3 LOCATION, DIRECTIONS & PARKING The JCCSF is located in Pacific Heights, at the corner of California Street and Presidio Avenue. The facility includes a Fitness Center, office space, a childcare care center, a Jewish retail store, cafe, an art gallery, Kosher catering kitchens, various meeting halls and rooms, and a 460-seat theatre. It is a vibrant center of community life and expression. The fee is a flat rate of $3.00 after 6:00 p.m. Monday- Friday and all day on weekends and University holidays. Public Transportation The JCCSF is accessible via the following SF Muni Lines: 1 California, 3 Jackson, 4 Sutter and 43 Masonic all have stops at the corner of California & Presidio. 4 GENERAL FACILITY The JCCSF was completed in January 2004 including Kanbar Hall. The theater is fully air conditioned and heated. It is a convertible room- banquet to theatre. Most of the seating is on a retractable riser containing 392 seats. Additional rows can be added bringing the total to 468. We are a non-iatse union house operating with a professional staff and local professional overhire crew. Lighting, sound control and projection are located at the back of the house in a control booth behind glass which can be opened. Audio mix position is located at the back of the house, centered in Row U. Wheelchair accessible private dressing room with two restrooms, comfortable for up to ten people, small sitting/greeting area, makeup tables with lights, show audio and video monitors, intercom, storage lockers. Control Room (booth) is located at the back of the house Loading Dock is located on Presidio Avenue. All material must fit through two inline sets of double doors (7'6"h) onto stage with a 90 bend from the loading dock (street to stage=54 feet) Fly Space: There is no fly space, the stage is dead hung. No battens are motorized or droppable. GREEN ROOM / DRESSING ROOM The Center has one green room / dressing room which can be found directly behind the stage. The room can comfortably accommodate up to ten people and features a chorus make-up and dressing area with a bathroom, a star room with private bathroom and a sitting area. The room is carpeted with in-room heating and air conditioning control. The room also has lockable storage lockers for valuables, hanging space, an iron and ironing board and a steamer. There are no showers in the room but showers are available in the locker rooms of the Fitness Club. The room has an audio monitor from the Kanbar Hall sound console as well as a ClearCom station. We have three sets of legs, three borders and an upstage black traveler (center split) which is not moveable and only travels. 7 Seating: The capacity of Kanbar Hall is 468. Though, our standard configuration has 411 seats since we only add rows BB, CC and DD on the floor in front of the raked seating unit if sales call for it.
