3 ARBRO STROKE HARVESTERS A rbrostroke is a stroke harvester, which fells, delimbs and cuts trees to length. ArbroStroke harvester is available in two models that can be easily installed on a standard loader. ArbroStroke 400 is especially meant for thinning operations and ArbroStroke 1000 can also handle bigger tasks. Compared to other same size harvester heads the ArbroStroke has a lot of delimbing power. ArbroStroke can easily be connected and disconnected on the rotator of the loader. And most common farm tractors have enough hydraulic power to operate model 400. Model 1000 requires a heavier carrier. A good choice would be an excavator. The harvester has a superior quality measuring device that makes the production highly efficient. The exceptional measuring device comes as standard equipment. The harvester head is equipped with a reliable Volvo saw motor. The cutter bar is available in either 14 or 16 for model 400 and 20 for model The operating handles have been designed for professional use. The design of them makes the use of the loader and the ArbroStroke harvester head a pleasure. The harvester has an automatic stroke and the tree can be delimbed with a onebutton function. ArbroStroke is equipped with a measuring device and the stroke will stop at the preselected length for the log to be cut. The measuring device can be programmed for various preselected lengths. In addition any length can be chosen at any time. As optional equipment the thickness of the log can also be measured. The delimbing knives and grip arms can be opened separately. All Pete woodchippers feature a massive cuttiang disc with fan blades to ensure a steady flow of chips. Chip size is adjustable due to the sets of adjustable bottom and side counter blades and adjustable rotary cutting blades. The higher speed is usually used for producing chips for compost. Due to the speed the blowing capacity is also increased which is useful for chipping brush. The lower speed is used for chipping thicker wood. The hydraulic feeder offers a firm grip for chipping different kinds of material. The feed roller takes the wood towards the cutting disc where the blades cut the wood into chips. Then the chips move to the blower blades through the blade opening and are blown out through the output chute. The feeding speed can be adjusted by changing the speed of the hydraulic motor. The feed roller is equipped with sharp teeth for a firm grip and stable movement. If necessary the feed rollers can be stopped. The G model uses the tractors hydraulic system in feeding the wood. The GT model has its own hydraulic system and it is powered by the tractors PTO. The HJ200 Mobile chipper is mounted on a trailer for easy transportation. The chipper has a selfcontained diesel engine for power. The HJ500 is a heavyduty chipper designed for demanding contractor applications. It can produce well over 100 cubic meters per hour. 12 PALAX FIREWOOD PROCESSORS P alax KS35 Ergo is a robust firewood processor with a 15 chainsaw. The operating ergonomics of the KS35 Ergo is excellent due to the sideway motion of the crosscut handle at the operators waist level instead of the traditional up to down movement. The standard configuration comprises a 2.2 m (7.2 ft) long and 0.2 m (7.9 in) wide infeed conveyor, a 4.3 m (14.1 ft) long, swinging and folding discharge conveyor as well as an automatic lubricator of the sawchain. The machine is an optimal choice, if the diameter of the processed trees varies a lot. The maximum cutting diameter is 35 cm (13.8 ) and the length of the log can be between 25 to 60 cm (10 to 2 ft). Transporting and storing the machine is really easy Thanks to its foldable conveyor, the machine fits into a small space. The machine is 2.85 m (9.3 ft) wide, 2.4 m (7.8 ft) high The KS35 is available as a manual Ergo model or a fully hydraulic joystick model and 0.95 m (3.1 ft) deep. Putting the machine into operation is easy and fast. The machine is always delivered ready assembled The infeed conveyor and the discharge conveyor are equipped with easytouse quickreleases. In addition the discharge conveyor has a lift. This means operations may be started quickly without having to use any tools. Automatic tightening of the Vbelts The transmission of the tractorpowered models features automatic tightening of the Vbelts between the angular gear and the blade shaft. The automatic tightening requires less servicing and consequently reduces strain on the transmission, thus increasing its service life.

13 Unobstructed and spacious splitting chute The ram pushes the tree in one piece from the higher infeed chute to the lower splitting chute. This enables lowering the splitting ax even during operations. Clean firewood The debris drops down through the grate with large holes in the bottom of the splitting chute and as a result the processed firewood is of even measure, clean and dries quickly. Automatic highspeed valve The automatic highspeed valve considerably speeds up the operation of the machine. Small trees are split up at high speed. While splitting thick logs, the approach stroke occurs at high speed but decelerates at the start phase of the splitting. Then, as the force requirement again decreases, the highspeed motion resumes immediately. Precise length adjustment The machine comes with a logstop that always swings to the rear for the crosscut movement. This ensures the log falls unobstructed into the splitting chute. The logstop guides are equipped with ball bearings. The length of the log can be adjusted from 25 to 60 cm (10 in to 2 ft). Safe and easytouse patented tree clamp As the operating levers of the clamp and the saw are located at a convenient distance from each other, they are easy and effortless to operate simultaneously. The crosscut lever is actuated by pulling and the clamp lever is actuated by pushing. This increases the operating comfort even more. Selfcleaning infeed conveyor The drive and return rollers of the infeed conveyor are equipped with efficient scrapers, which keep the rollers clean under all conditions. This feature is even more significant in winter as snow is not able to gather and pack between the roller and the belt. Reliable and easytooperate height adjustment of the splitting ax Height position of the splitting wedge is adjusted by the control lever which is equipped with a friction lock. A robust twoway / fourway ax comes as standard. The splitting ax comes with a quickrelease. The conveyor can be locked in 5 different positions. The quick lock is released by foot. A hydraulic height adjustment of the ax is available as an option. A 4.3 m (14.1 ft) long, open and unobstructed discharge conveyor The discharge conveyor with polyethylene scrapers, two chains and gear drive is driven by a hydraulic motor. Even high trailers can be loaded with a conveyor of standard length. As both the top and the underside of the conveyor are completely open, operations are reliable under all conditions. 14 PALAX FIREWOOD PROCESSORS T he robust Palax Power100S is equipped with a 1000 mm (39.3 ) overhead hardmetal blade, a thrust force of 16 tons kg (35,300 lbs) and fully hydraulic control. The machine is at its best when processing hardwood. The maximum tree diameter is 40 cm (15.7 ). Automatic highspeed valve The Palax Power100S is a firewood processor for professional use. It has several unique features that make it the most efficient, productive and reliable machine of its size for processing big trees. The machine comes with an automatic highspeed valve for the splitting cylinder. As a rule, the work stroke is always performed at high speed. If the smaller splitting force induced by the highspeed function is great enough, the wood will split up. If the splitting force at high speed is not great enough, it will immediately be boosted by 16 tons kg. As soon as the splitting of the wood starts and the force requirement is reduced, the highspeed operation will automatically resume. The highspeed motion brings added speed for small trees and added force for big trees. Optimizing the stroke length increases the splitting speed The Palax Optimi is the method for optimizing the length of the splitting stroke by limiting the cylinder stroke in accordance with the length of the processed wood. A full stroke is used for processing 55 cm (21.6 ) long firewood. If the length of the processed wood is 30 cm (9.8 ), then the cylinder stroke is reduced to almost a half and thus the splitting speed is virtually doubled! As the length of the firewood in general is between 25 and 33 cm (9.8 and 21.6 ) the processing is really efficient. Even though the cutting of short firewood using the hardmetal blade takes place quickly, the Palax Optimi method and the automatic highspeed valve enable a sufficiently fast splitting procedure to ensure that no bottleneck is created during the splitting phase. Automatic tightening of the Vbelts The transmission drive belts of the Palax Power100S are equipped with automatic tightening. Automatic tightening of the 14 belts completely eliminates the need for repeated retightening of the belts or malfunctions due to slack or tootight drive belts. 16 NOKKA GRAPPLE LOADERS With modelspecific adaptors, a Nokka loader with a 3point or flange adapter can be attached to the tractor frame. The 3point mounting allows for more mounting alternatives than the flange mounting. Five different quality valve systems are available for all Nokka loaders; 1) A mechanical 2lever 2) A mechanical horned 2lever 3) An electric on/off 2lever (He) 4) A hydraulic one (HR) 5) An all electric one (HP) There are three different kinds of supporting legs available: the conventional standard supporting legs, specially arched supporting legs and the telescopic legs. In addition to log handling the Nokka grapple loaders can be used for many other lifting and loading applications. T he Nokka grapple loaders are numbered the following way. The first two numbers of the fourdigit model number show the gross lifting moment in knm. The two last ones mark the reach in decimeteres. The most central features describing the performance of a Nokkaloader are its lifting capacity, range of movement and reach. In terms of the gross lifting moment, the whole loader range features seven sizes and a total of thirteen different basic loader models: HK 25L, HK 2551, 3467, 3655, 3668H, 4368H, 4372H, 4970H, 4976HC, 5269H, 5282HC, 6068H and 6084HC. For all Nokkaloaders, the maximum lifting pressure is 175 bars. The loader features and structures are carefully designed and professionally built, without just increasing the working pressures to obtain higher lifting values. It is important that the hydraulics system of the tractor is not overcharged by the loader. In case the hydraulics of the tractor is inadequate, a separate hydraulic system can be mounted 16 on every loader and trailer model. Common with all Nokka models is that their structure and properties are carefully designed in order to maintain the lifting capacity at the same level at different boom heights. This is particularly important when loading timber onto the forest trailer over the poles. The wideangle joint featured in every loader model, enables wide movements and great folding and unfolding strength of the boom. Models 651, 701, 851 and 951 are lightweight forest trailers for small and medium size tractors. The trailers can be equipped with a hydraulic drawbar, a fixed 3point or flange loader mounting device, a front grill and two pairs of poles as a standard. Hydraulic brakes are available for all models. The 25L loader is suitable for the 651/701. For the 851 trailer a recommended loader is 3467H. The 3467H and 3668H loaders fit best for 951 trailer.
