3 PRODUCT INTRODUCTION The Universal Cattle Tech fitted with the robust auto lock head gate was designed for all round speedy handling of demanding stock in today s commercial beef farms. The manually operated Universal 2000 is available with a choice of four head locking gates creating a solid versatile cattle handling crush for every budget. The fully fabricated construction makes the Portable Crush a solid addition to any farm for safe all round cattle handling requirements. The Universal Hoof Tech is designed by professional hoof care experts to reduce the stress on livestock during the hoof trimming process by ensuring secure restraints and controlled lifting and lowering of the animal. The Dairy Hoof Trimmer is built to last and designed for quick everyday hoof care and inspection work at an affordable price. This Nugent hoof trimmer has remained the dairy farmers choice for many years. Today s leading farmers recognise that live animal weighing is an essential part of effective farm management. The Nugent Calf Tech and Calf Crate allows quick and easy dehorning of calves in a simple one man operation. Once inside the crate, the calf is held firmly in place by a restrainer, comprising of nose band and pull chains. The crate is also designed with the capability to restrain livestock for castration, thus offering farmers two machines in one. 9 CALF TECH The Nugent Calf Tech allows quick and easy dehorning of calves in a simple one man operation. It provides body support to prevent calves falling and has an opening front door for calf exiting. A standard hoof trimming set is also available. 11 Rear Guide Gates Rear Guide Gates Foldaway guide gates can be used to guide the animal into the Universal Hoof Tech. The rear gates are only available for the Universal Hoof Tech and are easily removed and detached when required. Rear Hoof Rest Rear Hoof Rest An additional rest bar to help with trimming of the hooves is available and can be adjusted to different heights to suit different cattle. The fully foldaway design does not affect the loading of animals into the crush. Head Scoop Head Scoop The moulded plastic scoop dramatically reduces the available movement of the animal s head, providing greater safety for both animal and operator making it ideal for bolusing, drenching, eye treatment, ear tagging and implants. Available in left or right hand configurations (photo shows left hand set up) it helps reduce the desire to move backwards and to kick out and it fits onto all of the Nugent crushes using a special bracket. Supplied with rubber bump stops to reduce noise during transportation. 12 Forklift points Forklift Points Designed with ease of use in mind these are a simple method of transporting the Cattle Tech using forklift toes. User can adjust to suit their own forklift width. Ratchet Rump Bar The drop down rump bar is friction operated so you only drive the animal forward. If the animal tries to push back the rump bar will not move back up until the operator releases the handle so the operator is always in control. Rump Bar Digital Weigh System Digital Weigh System Together with a Nugent Crush the Digistar Shear Beams provides today s performance conscious producer with an innovative weighing system that is not only tough, reliable and accurate but also very simple to use. All of the Nugent Crushes can be fitted with a set of Digistar Shear Beams. The clock operates off standard AA batteries and it s easy read screen is an attractive feature for the operator.
