5 Everyday life is tough. Exactly what the MEGAFEX is built for. The MEGAFEX was developed for the professional user. Many years experience in agricultural technology combined with expertise in custom mechanical engineering projects have resulted in a universal spreader boasting high-performance regardless of conditions. Solid structure The bodywork is made from 5mm (model 1400/1700) and 6 mm (model 2000) thick solid u-frame profiles. The conical design of the bridge allows improved material feed to the spreader. The side walls are screwed on and locked at the top by solid profile piping which also protects against damage. The loading area is already large but may be increased in size with hinged attachment gates. Access is achieved via a multi-section pull-out ladder with crossover. The hydraulic feeder gate helps in the exact metering of the manure. A display at the front shows the slide opening continuously adjustable between 0 and 150 cm. Robust floor conveyor The floor conveyor is the decisive factor in the performance of a spreader. 4 drop-forged floor conveyor chains on a robust steel plated floor (model 1400/1700) or solid wooden floor (model 2000) move the conveyor strips on the MEGAFEX. The sprockets are made of tempered steel. Their outer teeth grip the chain - the sprockets are prevented from clogging and the chain is prevented from jumping off. Compression springs adjust the chain tension automatically. The drive, with continuously variable forward and backward motion, is provided by a spur gear with hydraulic motor and proportion valve. The speed of the floor conveyor is adjustable from the operator console. 7 The spreader: Standard or universal Controlled output of the manure is a prerequisite for responsible agricultural use. Uniform distribution is guaranteed when using the MEGAFEX. High-value components result in a truly best-of-breed spreader: with the MEGAFEX 1400/1700 a standard spreader (optional universal spreader) and with the MEGAFEX 2000 a universal spreader. 2 sturdy spreader plates with a diameter of 1080 mm 4 screwable vanes, made from Hardox, secured with shearing pins Standard spreader A standard spreader with 4 vertical mill rollers and attached Hardox sawtooth cutters ensure uniform output of manure, chicken manure, etc. The spreading width is up to 9 m. A hydraulically operated cover provides protection of the spreader. The spreader rollers are driven individually by mitre gears in an oil bath. A cardan shaft is used between drive shaft and gearbox. The standard spreader need only by removed to exchange it for the universal spreader. Universal spreader Under the hydraulically operated cover is a best-of-breed spreader (DLG-tested). Two horizontal mill rollers (ø 650 mm) with wear tips, attached with screws and made from Hardox, provide forceful feeding, optimal shredding and uniform application onto the spreader plate. Drive to the spreader plates is provided by the drive shaft via a shaft drive and a cam coupler to the transfer gearbox. The spreader plate frame including gearing can be detached using a fork lift truck. The spreader can then also be used as a mixer. 9 The MEGAFLEX leaves nothing to be desired High-tech in agricultural applications too: The benefits of modern tractors come into their own when combined with the MEGAFEX - because the standard of technical equipment on the MEGAFEX lies well above the average and provides a convenient work environment whilst retaining maximum efficiency. Premier quality chassis On the MEGAFEX, a tandem axle unit with Parabel suspension (with optional caster steering axle) in conjunction with a robust trapezoidal frame ensures optimal handling even in the most difficult of terrains. Coupling/uncoupling is made particularly easy using the hydraulic supporting foot (optional on MEGAFEX 1400/1700). 11 MEGAFEX quality and comfort The use of robust components, quality assured production and final inspection are necessary prerequisites, but it is the ease of use, the high reliability and long service life which make the MEGAFEX the ideal machine. Everthing under control Operation of the MEGAFEX is provided by the electrohydraulic ME control via just one double-action connector. Miller cover, feeder gate, floor conveyor drive, front axle release as well as the parking leg are controlled from the electrical operator console in the tractor. The Uni-Control S system for travel independent spreader quantity control is available as an upgrade option. The large area of the viewing window in the loading area is resistant to dirtying. A clearly readable display indicates the opening height of the feeder gate. Operational safety The spreader is prevented from overloading by an overload clutch and freewheel clutch. Shear bolts protect the vanes of the spreader plates from foreign bodies. High pressure filters with integrated visual and electrical indicators protect hydraulic system from dirt. Safe lighting is provided by a 12 volt lighting unit conforming to road traffic regulations. Service life/servicing The stabile trapezoidal frame and the robust construction allow working in the toughest of conditions. Robust profile piping at the end of the side walls prevents damage when loading. Extremely strong flat link chains, screwed on wear tips and lining of areas subject to load with Hardox wear plates guarantee long service life of the machine. Servicing instructions are well documented. When using central lubrication, all lubrication points are supplied (with the exception of the drive shaft). Cleaning is made easy with its large surface area design.
