3 1. Introduction Please check special note of the following important points before installation 1. Assembly introduction Important safety installation of the STEX treadmills. Please confirm the horizontal floor. Position the treadmill on a clear, level surface. Otherwise Not only Vibration will be occurred but also User would be wounded. We strongly recommended laying a mat under the treadmill to prevent damage against the shock of vibration DO NOT locate the treadmill in areas with a high humidity and a lot of dust. DO NOT locate any inflammable liquid of material near the treadmill. Locate the treadmill with the enough intervals to operate easily and safely. - Minimum space : Rear 1.2m, Left & Right 0.6m 2. How to carry the STEX Treadmill To carry the STEX Treadmill Lift the rear of the treadmill for the easy movement. 3. 29 4. Assembly instructions The following parts list & step-by-step assembly procedures have been prepared to assemble and operate the S23T/ S23TX treadmill as quick and easy as possible. Please take special note of the following important matters prior to choosing a location and beginning assembly of the treadmill. Important safety instructions! To reduce the risk of injury, read the following instructions before assembling and operating the treadmill. DO read the entire operation manual prior to operating this machine. DO verify the contents of the delivery prior to setting the machine. If there are any missing parts, contact STEX(Sales dealer or our service center) at the number listed in the operation manual. Keep the shipping cartons in case of returning. DO keep the treadmill indoors, away from moisture the high humidity and dust. DO NOT operate treadmill and contact STEX(Distributor of Our Service Center) at the telephone number listed in the operation manual if it has been dropped, damaged, or even partially immersed in water. DO keep the area around treadmill clear, locate the Treadmill on a clear and leveled floor. < 29 >

31 Assembly procedures S23T/S23TX 1. Check the contents//accompanying parts, required tools, & others 2. Remove the two BOLTS (1, M8 20L) securing the FRONT COVER and the four SCREWS (2, M5 12L) securing the MOTOR COVER. Lift and remove the FRONT COVER & MOTOR COVER and set the BOLTS & SCREWS aside. 3. Position the LEFT TUBE(CONSOLE SUPPORT TUBE) as shown. Secure the LEFT TUBE using five BOLTS (2, M8 20L) and five TOOTED LOCK WASHER(M8). Leave the BOLTS loose at this time. 4. Position the RIGHT TUBE(CONSOLE SUPPORT TUBE) as shown. In case of S23T, Feed the CONSOLE CABLE(1) through the tube of RIGHT TUBE. In case of S23TX, Feed the CONSOLE CABLES[1 + added CABLES in parenthesis] through the tube of RIGHT TUBE. Secure the RIGHT TUBE using five BOLTS(2, M8 20L) and five TOOTED LOCK WASHER(M8). Leave the BOLTS loose at this time. Be careful not to pinch the cable(or cables) when inserting the RIGHT TUBE onto the right tube mounting bracket. < 31 >

Reinstall the MOTOR COVER using the four previously removed SCREWS(1, M5 12L). Position the FRONT COVER as shown. Reinstall the FRONT COVER using the two previously removed BOLTS(2, M8 20L). Position the SIDE COVERS(LEFT & RIGHT SIDE COVERS) as shown. Install the SIDE COVERS using four BOLTS(3, M8 20L). Keep the COVERS assembly procedures. Tighten the SCREWS or BOLTS securely. Do not overtighten the SCREWS or BOLTS. 6. Position the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY. Connect all cables. Carefully insert the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY into the top of the RIGHT and LEFT TUBE as shown. Secure the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY using four BOLTS(2, M8 20L) and TOOTHED LOCK WASHER(3, M8). [Connecting cables] S23T S23TX Remark 1. Main cable 2. RF cable Connect cables with gender 3. 33 7. [S23T] Position the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY near the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY as shown. Feed the CONSOLE CABLE[or CABLES] through the cutting slot of the lower of the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY. Carefully insert the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY into the top of the bracket of the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY. Secure the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY using four BOLTS(2, M8 40L). Be careful not to damage the cables when installing the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY. Connect all cables. Install the REAR CONSOLE TOP COVER to the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY using one SCREW(3, M5 12L) [Connecting cables] S23T Remark 1. Main cable 2. Heart Rate cable 3. 34 8. [S23TX] Position the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY near the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY as shown. Feed the CONSOLE CABLE[or CABLES] through the cutting slot of the lower of the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY. Carefully insert the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY into the top of the bracket of the CONSOLE MIDDLE ASSEMBLY. Secure the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY using four BOLTS(2, M8 40L). Be careful not to damage the cables when installing the CONSOLE TOP ASSEMBLY. Connect all cables.
