Mission FMT's mission - to develop and produce environmentally friendly solutions, that are protecting the oceans against accidental oil spills from ships. And to process Oily Sludge into clean water and pure Waist Oil At an energy and environment-ally friendly way. Our solutions support the vision of sustainability. 2

IMO resolution. ANNEX 13 RESOLUTION MEPC.107(49) Adopted on 18 July 2003 REVISED GUIDELINES AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR POLLUTION PREVENTION EQUIPMENT FOR MACHINERY SPACE BILGES OF SHIPS THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION COMMITTEE, RECALLING Article 38(a) of the Convention on the International Maritime Organization 6

REVISED GUIDELINES AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR POLLUTION PREVENTION EQUIPMENT FOR MACHINERY SPACE BILGES OF SHIPS It should be understood that a 15 ppm Bilge Separator must be capable of handling any oily mixtures from the machinery space bilges and be expected to be effective over the complete range of oils which might be carried on board ship, and deal satisfactorily with oil of very high relative density, or with a mixture presented to it as an emulsion. With the possibility of emulsified bilge water always present the 15 ppm Bilge Separator must be capable of separating the oil from the emulsion to produce an effluent with an oil content not exceeding 15 ppm. 7

Summary of requirements The approval requirements for pollution prevention equipment specified in these Guidelines and Specifications are summarized below:.1 the 15 ppm Bilge Separator should be tested for type approval in accordance with the procedures described in part 1 of the annex, subject to environmental tests specified in part 3 of the annex; and.2 the oil content meter for the 15 ppm Bilge Separator effluent discharge, hereinafter referred to as the 15 ppm Bilge Alarm should be tested for type approval in accordance with part 2 of the annex, subject to the environmental tests specified in part 3 of the 8

The inventor Kaj Joensen and his patentet - Oil Conveyor 9

Oil Conveyor The patented Oil Conveyor - consists of two main components A Conveyor with oil absorbing mops, that skims the oil, grease, soap and impurities from the bilge surface - and a Settling- tube which further treats the collected mixture from the Conveyor. In the settling tube the mixture are separated into waist oil and water. The water is returned to the Clean Bilge tank and the Waist oil goes into the Waist oil tank. 10

Testimonials From barely being able to use the OWS, we can now freeing our bilge water through OWS without problems. The average value at ppm meter is between 2-4 ppm. Delivdred 100 T contaminated Bilge in In T Waist oil. Mærsk Frontier Esbjerg. 16

Sludge Dewatering Separator The SDS As a result of good reference on The Oil Conveyor Maersk Supply Service, asked us to help them to develop a solution, so they could handle the large amount of water in various sludge types on their ships. It is not unusual to have 60-80% water-content in the oily sludge. This has resulted in The Sludge Dewatering 17

Sludge Dewatering Separator Takes upp to 99% of the water-content out of the sludge. Reduces Sludge volume > 60%. 18

SDS The SDS has three main components a Pre filter a Settling-tube and a Boiler. After the filter, the Sludge are pumped through The Settling-tube it takes up to 80% of the water-content out of the Sludge - The separated Waist Oil goes into the Boiling tank, where the rest of the water-content are boiled out of the Waist Oil under vacuum. This process is automatic, and can take as mush as 99% of the water out of the Sludge. 19
