3 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE LS120 (ES 450) & LS200 (ES 800) THESE SYSTEMS MUST BE CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY WATER AUTHORITY PRIOR TO USE 1. Place unit on firm and level ground close to an authorized discharge point. 2. Connect discharge hose to the Water Treatment Filter Outlet and the other end to an approved discharge point. 3. Check Hoses in Wash Basin, Release Valve Outlet & Sludge Release Tap are all in the off position. 4. Connect hose from water source to tap at Wash Basin 5. Use the Wash Basin to remove water-based paint from brushes, rollers and other equipment. Continue washing tools until the water level reaches fill level marked on the Holding Tank. 6. Now that the Holding Tank is full, stir vigorously for 30 seconds to bring up into solution any sediment that may have collected on the bottom of the Holding Tank. Add the Starter powder (Enviro-Treat Part B) and stir in a circular motion for one minute, then add the Finisher powder (Enviro-Treat Part A) and stir in a circular motion for one minute. Refer to the chemical dosage rates relevant to your unit s size. Make sure stirring paddle reaches bottom of the Holding Tank when stirring. Leave for one minute and re-stir. 7. Place up turned wash basin on top of the Holding Tank to stop any further washing during the chemical treatment process. 8. The paint residue (sludge) will settle to the bottom of the Holding Tank. Full separation can occur in as little as two hours. However, best results are achieved if the separation process is left overnight. Full separation has occurred when the sludge is visibly lower than the Release Valve Outlet. 9. The Treated water is released by moving the Release Valve to the open position allowing treated water out of the tank,via the Pre Filter, through the Water Treatment Filter and the Non-return Valve (supplied with discharge hose) to an authorized discharge point. When all treated water has been drained off move the Release Valve to the closed position. Water can be evacuated quickly by engaging the Tsunami pump. To operate, connect the pump to a 12 volt battery, not included. 10. Paint residue (sludge) in holding tank is taken out via the Sludge Release pump. Open the Sludge Release Valve. The sludge is manually pumped into the Sludge Filter Bags, accessed from the top of the Sludge Filter Tank, which is on the side of the unit. 11. Keep filling Sludge Filter Bags until all sludge has been filtered. Do not overfill. Use the stirring paddle, move the remaining sludge towards the sludge release valve. It is normal to have some residual sludge. 12. The water filtered from the sludge passes through the Sludge Filter Bags into the Sludge Water Treatment Tank before discharging via the Release Valve, the Pre-filter, the Water Treatment Filter and Non-Return Valve through the discharge hose to an authorized discharge point. 13. Once Sludge Filter Bags have drained off overnight, leaving paint waste, remove Sludge Filter Bags and discard this paint waste into a suitable container (empty paint bucket) to harden. Once hard, dispose of waste into normal solid waste refuse. 14. Flush the Sludge Release Valve with clean water to prevent build-up of sludge residue. 15. To achieve the maximum results desired, thoroughly clean holding tank internally after each use. Wash Water Treatment Filter in the Holding Tank prior to each use. For optimum use of the Sludge Filter Bags, turn inside out and wash thoroughly in the Holding Tank after each treatment. 16. The waste-water generated by the final clean process should be re-introduced into the Holding Tank to be processed with next use.

4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE LS40 (ES 160) THESE SYSTEMS MUST BE CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY WATER AUTHORITY PRIOR TO USE 1. Place unit on firm and level ground close to an authorized discharge point. 2. Connect discharge hose to the Water Treatment Filter Outlet and the other end to an approved discharge point. 3. Use the Sink Insert to remove water-based paint from brushes, rollers and other equipment. Continue using the Sink Insert until the water level reaches fill level marked on the Holding Tank. 4. Remove the Sink Insert to stop any further washing during the chemical treatment process. 5. Now that the Holding Tank is full, stir vigorously for 30 seconds to bring up into solution any sediment that may have collected on the bottom of the Holding Tank. Adjust the angle of the unit to remove optimal sludge quantity. 10. The water filtered from the sludge passes through the Sludge Filter Bags into the Sludge Water Treatment Tank. Discharge via the Release Valve, the Water Treatment Filter and Non-Return Valve through the discharge hose to an authorized discharge point. 11. Once Sludge Filter Bag has drained off overnight, leaving paint waste, remove Sludge Filter Bag and discard this paint waste into a suitable container (empty paint bucket) to harden. Process begins when wash water has reached the fill line. Day One End of Shift. 1. Clean paint tools in Glidden Professional Wash System. 2. Treat wash water according to instructions. 3. Leave over night to separate. Day Two Beginning of Shift. 1. Release clear water. 2. Pump sludge into filter bag. 3. Let drain during shift. Day Two End of Shift 1. Empty sludge from filter bag into a suitable container to dry. Or if water is still draining through filter bag, use wash out sink normally. 2. Clean paint tools in Glidden Professional Wash System. Day Three Beginning of Shift 1. If sludge filter bag was not emptied on Day Two, Empty sludge bag into suitable container to dry. Resume normal use. LS120 & LS200 Recommended Water Treatment Schedule This schedule allows you to treat wash water while continuing to capture daily washout water. Process begins when wash water has reached the fill line. Day One End of Shift. 1. Clean paint tools in Glidden Professional Wash System. 2. Treat wash water according to instructions. 3. Leave over night to separate. Day Two Beginning of Shift. 1. Release clear water. 2. Pump sludge into filter bag. 3. Let drain during shift. Day Two End of Shift 1. Open sludge tank release valve to release water from sludge filtration process. Day Three Beginning of Shift 1. Empty sludge bag into suitable container to dry. Resume normal use. Only water based paints to be washed in these systems! The operator must check if a waste water permit is required prior to use (available from local water/ council/municipality) Do not under any circumstance connect or discharge into any unauthorized discharge points Ensure personal safety at all times when handling chemicals (Refer to M.S.D.S) Do not use system without chemicals All units can be adapted to be fully reticulated. The treated water from the washing process is suitable to be recycled. These units have been designed to maximize the benefits of water conservation.
