9 9 Operating Data Three Phase Eexd IIA IIB 2G T1 T4 D5 series are explosion-proof motors enclosed in an explosion-proof casing (EEx-d), 3ph with squirrel-cage rotor & external surface fan cooling. Coupling dimensions comply with IEC standards publication 72 & comprise shaft height from mm. This series of motors are formed by two separate casings with the following certificates. Main casing containing the active pa arts complies with the following compatible European standards: CEI 31-8 publication 459 CENELEC EN general rules. CEI 31-8 publication 472 CENELEC EC d explosion-proof casing. Terminal board with winding terminals complying with the above-mentioned standards & the following compatible standards: CEI 31-7 publication 458 CENELEC EN Increased safety & protection e. The 3ph EExd range are currently certified by CESI & are ATEX compliant. 15 15 Three Phase Braked TEFC Brake Motors Failsafe Electromagnetic brake DC Brake rectified from Motor terminal block IP55 Motor, IP52 brake with IP54 optional 400 volt winding Euro voltage Oil seal as standard Brake motors are fitted with spring-loadefan blade) under the fan cowl. When the motor is switched on, the brake is supplied with DC brakes (mounted between the motor endshield & the voltage via a suitable rectifier. The spring-loaded brake is normally off. Electromagnetically released brake comprising the stator (1), the armature (2) & the brake rotor (3). It is fixed to the motor endshield (5) with screws (4) & located under the fan cowl (6). The friction plate (9) is held against the motor end shield (5) & serves as a counter friction face. When the release current does not flow, the springs (7) press the armature (2) against the brake rotor (3) which in turn is pressed against the friction plate (9). The braking torque is generated throughh friction on both friction faces. When switching on the motor the brake release coil is activated & the magnetic force of the stator (1) releases the armature (2) against the spring resistance (7). The rotor (3) is freed. The brake torque can be reduced by a maximum of 50% by using an adjuster (8).

On request we can supply the Declaration of Conformity foreseen on the 93/68 CEE Directive concerning the standards of safety & reliability together with the Declaration of Conformity with the 89/336 CEE Directive on the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
