1 Construction 2013 Building and dwelling production 2012 December, 4th quarter Cubic volume covered by granted building permits grew by 6 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2012 from last year According to the preliminary data of Statistics Finland's statistics on building and dwelling production, in October to December 2012 building permits were granted for a total of 7.8 million cubic metres, which is 6.1 per cent more than one year earlier. The cubic volume covered by permits granted for residential fell by 2.6 per cent over the same period. Building permits granted and building starts, mil. m3, variable annual sum n the release the data indicated with an asterisk (*) are preliminary data. Cubic volume covered by granted building permits decreased by 18.6 per cent in December n December 2012, building permits were granted for a total of 1.7 million cubic metres, which is 18.6 per cent less than one year earlier. This is indicated by Statistics Finland s preliminary data from statistics on building and dwelling production. Helsinki Quoting is encouraged provided Statistics Finland is acknowledged as the source.
2 The cubic volume covered by permits granted for residential decreased by 39.4 per cent in December. The cubic volume covered by permits granted for other than residential fell by 9.2 per cent from one year ago. According to preliminary data for 2012, the cubic volume covered by granted building permits went down by 13.7 per cent from preliminary data for. The volume of newbuilding went down in December by over 13 per cent from one year back n December 2012, the constant-price value or the volume of ongoing building production decreased by 13.4 per cent year-on-year. The volume of construction of residential decreased by 6.4 per cent and that of other than residential building construction by 19.8 per cent from one year back.
