2 YEAR-ROUND AIR CONDITIONING Our Deluxe-Aire units are ideally suited to provide heating, cooling and air filtration for areas where it is not feasible to provide a large central system and run duct work to all areas to be conditioned. Individual rooms in schools can be air conditioned without giving up space for a central system air handler and neces sary duct work. Other typical applications are: Spot air conditioning in factories, shopping malls and apartment air conditioning. The cabinets are finished in beige enamel and insulated with 1" thick coated glass fibre insulation. An access panel is provided to the 2" permanent filters and the expansion valve (valve furnished by others). Knockouts are provided for all connections. The large side panel is easily removed to inspect motor and drive. Motors are standard, open, 1725 RPM, drip-proof type with resilient base. Adjustable mounting and variable pitch pulley are standard. The belt driven, forward curved blower wheels are dynamically and stati-cally balanced. The basic unit is equipped with duct collars so it can be easily connected to a duct system. Decorative grilles (shown below) are available for both discharge and inlet to provide an attractive appearance when units are installed in the conditioned space. The Deluxe-Aire unit is quiet, compact and low in cost yet permits you to offer year-round air conditioning. Coils are available for cooling with direct expansion or chilled water; and for heating with hot water or steam. All models will take up to 6 rows of cooling plus 2 rows of heating. Both heating and cooling coils are easily added at a later date if desired. Coils slide in through side of unit. The modern discharge plenum with its adjustable double deflection grille, and the fixed inlet grille are offered as optional accessories. Each is shipped separately for field installation.
