1 ARBO BORN TO RESIST CORROSION CORROSION RESISTANT VERTICAL CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS Corrosion resistant Without shaft seal Pump can be run dry Without bearing in liquid 1 - m 3 /h Heads up to 25 MWK PUMP CHARACTERISTICS ARBO Vertical Sump Pumps cover a wide range of duties and are designed to operate with the impeller housing submerged in the liquid, thus making them ideal for liquid transfer and circulation duties. Small solids (up to mm. dia) in suspension can be handled subject to the abrasion resistance of the pump material. Model DW: These series of pumps can be used for circulating or transfer duties. For these two disciplines there are two impeller types available. For circulation a special OWT impeller construction prevents bubbles in the tank. A new designed LV-impeller prevents aircapture in the liquid (anti-foam) and makes the pump ideal for filtration or heating of difficult bathes. For transfer jobs a so called TS impeller ensures that, when running, a "liquid seal" is created. This seal allows the liquid to be pumped from below the pump housing. Once the level of the liquid falls below the end of the suction pipe the seal is then broken. (See operation A.B.C.) The suction pipe length can be increased up to 3 mtr. Model BB: This pump, for 'out of tank' use offers the same advantages as the Model DO vertical sump pumps. The Model BB pump can be run dry without damage as there is no seal and no bearing in the pump housing. An advantage when handling abrasive or crystallizing liquids. Additional advantages are that it can be used where there is insufficient space inside the tank, and that it can pump over a second circuit by tapping the suction pipe, for example, for pre-coating or flushing operations. Model D: Type DO-D Floating Sump Pumps have been designed specifically for conditions where tank depths are greater than those catered for by standard vertical sump pumps. The pump, available in PP only, is mounted on floats which enable it to rise and fall with the liquid level. A guide post is required, anchored to the tank floor or wall, which passes up through a guide tube on the float assembly, locating the pump as well as preventing it from rotating.
