4 DOUGHTY CLAMPS The Doughty Clamp combines strength and durability with a high degree of safety. Constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusion which is finished in either polished silver or silk black, this unit provides a secure fixing for tubes with external diameters from 48mm to 51mm. It is therefore suitable for use in such diverse industries as construction, manufacturing and leisure.the standard clamp is slotted,allowing the use of a captive 12mm (M12) nut or bolt head, enabling users to create fixings suited to their own individual requirements. 6 LIGHTWEIGHT CLAMPS Lightweight Doughty Clamps are constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusion and have been developed for installations where load capacities of up to 500 Kg are required. Designed to fit tubes with diameters 48mm- 51mm these clamps are slotted to hold captive an M12 hexagon nut or bolt head. The Lightweight Half Coupler has been TÜV Tested and certified with a safe working load and TÜV approval of 500 Kg. Slimline versions of the Lightweight range have a SWL of 300 Kg. 7 ATOM CLAMPS Atom Clamps are the smallest of the Doughty Clamp range of extruded aluminium couplers and are slotted to hold captive a nut or bolt head. These small clamps have a SWL and TÜV approval of 100 Kg and are ideal for shop displays, film lighting etc. Atom Clamps will fit tubes with exterior diameters ranging from 25mm - 38mm and are therefore suitable for use not only for lightweight trusses, but also the centre tubes on most varieties of stands. 10 TRIGGER CLAMPS The Trigger Clamp is constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusion making it not only lightweight, but extra strong, with a safe working load and TÜV approval of 200Kg. Designed to allow one person to hang heavy luminaires and scanners, the weight of the object being hung, becomes its own safety factor by automatically closing the trigger and the bottom half of the clamp.this unique feature allows the luminaires to be easily positioned and securely locked off using the large Tee easygrip handle. 11 QUICK TRIGGER CLAMPS NEW PRODUCT 2007 The design of the Doughty Quick Trigger Clamp gives a high degree of safety by allowing one person to hang heavy luminaires and fixtures. Quick Tiggers are available in two versions standard version fits tubes from 38mm to 51mm and the new Titan Triggers fit tube sizes from 48mm to 80mm.The jaws are sprung loaded to stay open leaving both hands free to lift and position the load. The base of the clamp is slotted to hold either an M10 or M12 bolt head or nut captive without turning, the Quick Trigger Clamp is constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusions and has been tested and certified with TÜV. The finish is either polished or silk black powder paint. 12 PULLEYS The Doughty Pulley System is of modular construction, allowing easy assembly of single or multiple sheave units from a limited range of standard components. With the addition of various brackets and fixings, the basic pulleys will fulfil a variety of specialist needs. Sheaves are of two basic types, for fibre or wire rope. Both are manufactured from MOS 2 self lubricating nylon. All the range of Doughty pulleys have a safe working load of 150 Kg. This allows up to twenty five module frames and deck panels to be kept conveniently together, while also furnishing a ready method of transportation in and around the venue. EASYDECK frames and decks are placed in a spiral upon the dolly, thus the storage space needed is minimal. For example; a floor area of no more than 2 square metres will accommodate a fully laden EASYDECK dolly. 29

32 EASYDECK Easy to Assemble All EASYDECK modules consist of two basic components, lightweight crackle black finish steel frames and phenol coated birch ply reversible deck panels (smooth brown face,non-slip weave reverse). Assembly could not be easier. Simply place the frames in the required position. Join the units together using the joint clips and channels. Place the deck panels on top of the frames and, if necessary, fit the handrails as desired. EASYDECK Easy to Curtain To complete your stage, and to give it that finished look you may wish to fit valance curtains, these are available in various material types and colours, details of which can be supplied upon request from our sales department. EASYDECK Easy to Bridge A bridging system is now available as part of the EASYDECK range, this strong adaption allows the safe transfer from one staging configuration or layout to another. EASYDECK EASYDECK... Easy to Ramp The EASYDECK Ramp System provides easy access to tiered seating for wheel chairs, those with young children, or anyone finding stairs difficult. Easydeck ramps comply fully to Document K of the UK building regulations. The ramp system is available in three height sections giving overall height increases of 250mm per section. These ramps, when used in combination with one another, give gentle slopes up to a maximum height of 750mm. This can be in either a single straight run or switchback when used with standard modules as landings. EASYDECK ramp modules can be supplied with optional handrails for added security. In common with standard modules, ramp units have a safe working load of 500 Kg per square metre, and a point load of 300 Kg. 30

33 Easy to Vary EASYDECK Easy to Tier EASYDECK is manufactured in three standard heights, (250mm, 500mm and 750mm) which, when used in conjunction with one another, chair stops, hand rails, and step units, provide excellent audience tiering as illustrated on the previous pages. If additional elevation is necessary, modules can be easily stacked upon one another by using riser brackets. Where tiers exceed 3 units in height, straight/corner border brackets must be used. EASYDECK has a safe working load capacity of 500 kg. per square metre, making it the ideal product for audience seating. EASYDECK Flexibility is the key to a successful temporary staging system. EASYDECK enables the user to construct performance or audience platforms to suit his/her particular requirements. Constructed from high tensile steel with a heavy gauge aluminium centre section. The basic unit is supplied complete with castors and screw jack feet. 40 WINCH STANDS Doughty have developed a new generation of Strata and Zenith Winch Stands for the entertainment industry. These stands have been re-developed to include refinements to add to Doughty s ongoing improvements to produce high quality products. These refinements being a unique self locking secondary safety system and an option of two different styles of base arrangement.the turnbuckle arrangement is available which allows the stand to encounter slopes keeping the mast in a vertical position, two heavy duty castors are incorporated for manoeuvrability. The second option is the roller base arrangement with four castors enabling the stand to be held in a vertical position even when not in operation. These stands have also been manufactured using a four section mast, this has enabled us to achieve an extremely low loading height. 55 PANTOGRAPHS AND BARREL TROLLEYS The latest addition to studio suspension equipment from Doughty is a range of 2 to 5 adjustable spring Pantographs. The Doughty spring Pantographs have been designed to be lightweight and compact, with strength, safety and ease of use being the main features. Loads from 5 to 36 Kg can be suspended from overhead tracks or barrels and quickly positioned with height ranges of 2 to 5 metres.
