See Conditions of Acceptability. Panel mounted disconnect switch components are rated for use in Type,, R, 2, and 4X environments when used with the appropriate handle kit in an enclosure rated for these conditions. See Conditions of Acceptability. *TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS (NOT FOR FIELD REPRESENTATIVE'S USE): Use - For use only in complete equipment where the acceptability of the combination is determined by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Conditions of Acceptability -. These devices should be mounted in equipment which provides a suitable overall enclosure. 2. These switch units have been tested with the units mounted on a vertical flat surface with the line side of the switch positioned at the top. Suitability of these units in all other positions shall be determined.. The voltage and horsepower ratings specified in table of catalog numbers may be assigned to the switch unit when it is installed in an enclosure or compartment if the minimum enclosure size is met. These dimensions are for heating considerations only. 4. The suitability of any other operating handle linkage provided beyond the switch unit handle shall be determined. Consideration should be given to performing a no-load Endurance Test. 5. The following tests have been conducted in accordance with the Standard for: a) Mechanical Endurance b) Rain c) Atomized Water d) Accelerated Aging of Gaskets e) Hosedown
