Your opinions are important to us and your feedback will be used to inform AAA s position on road safety and transportation policy in your state. This survey should only take a few minutes. New York law currently requires all front seat passengers and rear seat passengers under the age of 16 to be properly restrained in a vehicle, but rear seat passengers aged 16 or older are not required to wear safety belts. Would you legislation requiring all rear seat passengers to wear safety belts? N2. New York law currently requires children under the age of 4 to be restrained in a child safety car seat. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children be in a rear-facing car seat, in the rear of the car, until the age of 2. New York law currently requires that drivers pass cyclists traveling in the same direction at a safe distance.
