Modification amendments and/or changes to these Supplementary Regulations will be announced only by numbered and dated Bulletins (issued by the Organiser or the Stewards). 8 If this application is sent by fax or , the original entry form must reach the Organiser within five days following the close of entries, duly signed by entrant, driver and co-driver, accompanied by the entry fees, The entry form must be accompanied by a copy of the valid competitor's license and an authorization letter from the competitors ASN. After receiving the entry form, the Organiser will send to the Competitor a written acknowledgement of receipt. This does not imply that the entry has been accepted. Driver and co-driver must hold authority from their National Sporting Authority to take part in the Oman International Rally either by specific written authority from their ASN authority or stated on the International competition licences or obtain its stamp on the entry form. Any person or legal entity holding FIA International Competitors` licence valid for the current year is eligible. Where the competitor is a legal entity, or in any case not part of the crew, the first driver named on the entry form will be held solely responsible for all the liabilities and obligations of the competitor, throughout the driving time. The driver assumes the competitor s responsibility when the latter is not on board the vehicle. Any incorrect, fraudulent or unsporting action carried out by the Competitor or members of the crew will be judged by the Stewards of the Meeting who will impose penalties which may go as far as exclusion. 4.3 Number of entrants accepted and classes The maximum number of entries is 60. Attention is drawn to article 3.14 of The International Sporting Code relating to the Organiser's rights to refuse an entry Classes As per Article 4 of the 2015 FIA Regional Rally Championship Sporting Regulations. Class 11 (T3 up to 2000cc) as defined by Appendix J article Entry Fees The entry fees include: one set of Road Books, 2 Rally Guides, 2 Service Vehicle plates,6 service crew passes, 1 Team Manager pass, 2 Crew passes,and one Auxiliary plate for each entry. With the optional advertising proposed by the organisers: PRIVATE Legal Entry - Normal Entry 200 OR 300 OR Without the optional advertising proposed by the organisers: - Normal Entry 400 OR 600 OR 7

Please refer to Appendix VII for the definition of a Private Entry. 4.5 Payment The entry application will only be accepted if accompanied by the full entry fees,, or by a receipt issued by the Competitors National Sporting Authority. Any entry form not fully completed or which is not covered by full payment of the fees will be refused. The entry fee must be paid by a bank transfer in Omani Rials (OR) to the organiser s bank account. All Expenses and transfer charges shall be paid by the competitor. The organizers may refund 50% of the entry fee to those competitors who, for reasons of force majeure (duly certified as such by their ASN), were unable to start the rally. 5. Insurance As part of the entry fee, competitors will receive limited cover for civil liability towards third parties in accordance with the traffic laws of the Sultanate of Oman. This cover will come into effect at the start of the Rally and will include only special stages. It will cease at the end of the Rally or at the moment of retirement, exclusion or disqualification. For road sections, competing cars should be insured by the competitor, no responsibility being imputable to the Organizers. It is obligatory for competitors to carry normal Traffic Liability Insurance as required by Oman laws. Competitors from outside Oman should get this insurance at the borders while entering the car; competitors have to certify their insurance during Registration for Reconnaissance for Recce cars and during administrative checks for rally cars. In case of an accident, competitors or their representative must report the incident in writing to the Organizer, latest within Six hours. In case of a recovery service being used either in a special stage or on road section, expenses will be incurred by the competitor. The service vehicles, even those bearing special plates issued by the organizer will not be considered as official participants of the rally. They are therefore not covered 8

10 by the insurance policy of the rally and all risks remain under the sole responsibility of their owners. Similarly, reconnaissance cars used by competitors during reconnaissance, even if bearing special plates and the event's stickers, should be insured by the competitor, no responsibility being imputable to the organizers. If a driver taking part in a rally is involved in an accident in which a member of the public sustains physical injury, the driver concerned must report the incident at the next radio point specified in the road book. If this rule is not observed, the stewards of the meeting may impose a penalty, which may extend to exclusion from the rally. All Drivers and co-drivers should have a valid personal accident insurance valid for the duration and the type of the Oman Int. Rally 2015, this insurance should be presented at the administrative checks. In case of any medical requirement for any of the drivers or co drivers participating in the Oman Int. Rally 2015, any medical expenses other than the rescue treatments that is done by the Rally doctors, should be carried by the competitors themselves. 6. Advertising & Identification Numbers 6.1 Advertising: a) Advertising is permitted on the car, including the roof. Advertising on windows is prohibited. b) Advertising of alcoholic or tobacco products or any advertising that is prohibited by the Oman laws or which may cause offence is not permitted. c) Competitors who accept the organiser s optional advertising must reserve on each side of the car 2 (A4) size spaces as indicated in the diagram displayed under Appendix IV, details of which will be announced in a bulletin. 6.2 Identification Numbers: o The Organisers will provide each crew with the following, which must be affixed, to their car in the stated positions prior to scrutineering. o Any advertising within the this identification is obligatory and may not be refused by the competitors. No modifications are allowed to these panels. FRONT DOOR PANELS Two front door panels measuring 67 cm wide by 17 cm high including a 1 cm white surround. Each of these panels shall comprise a matt black competition number box which shall always be at the front of the panel. Numerals will be fluorescent yellow (PMS 803), 14 cm high and with a stroke width of 2 cm. The remainder of this door panel is reserved for the organizer. o Each panel shall be placed horizontally at the leading edge of each front door, with the number at the front. The top of the plate shall be between 7cm and 10 cm below the lower limit of the window. o No signage, other than the colour scheme of the car, shall be placed within 10 cm of this panel. 9

11 REAR WINDOW o One rear window panel measuring a maximum of 30 cm wide and 10cm high shall be positioned at the top of the rear window, and positioned left or right as indicated in the supplementary regulations. An adjacent area of 15 cm² shall contain a fluorescent orange (PMS 804) 14 cm high competition number on a clear background. This number may be reflective and must be visible from the rear at eye level. SIDE WINDOWS o Two numbers for each rear side window which shall be 20 cm high with a stroke width of at least 25 mm, colored fluorescent orange (PMS 804), and may be reflective. These numbers shall be placed on the rear side windows adjacent to the crew s name. ROOF o 1 x Roof panel with the competition number, 50 cm wide by 52 cm high, to be placed on the roof with the top towards the front of the car. (2). Front o Front rally plate 43x21.5cm. (4) 7. Tyres 7.1 For all competitors, tyre changes may only be carried out in authorised zones 7.2 In accordance with article of the FIA regional Rally championships Sporting regulations, the use of any device for maintaining the full performance of the tyre with an internal pressure equal to or less than atmospheric pressure is forbidden. The interior of the tyre (the space between the rim and the internal part of the tyre) must be filled only with air. 7.3 In accordance with article of the FIA regional rally championship sporting regulations, all tyres must be readily available commercially. 7.4 In accordance with article 60.8 of the FIA regional rally championship sporting regulations, Tyre marking will take place immediately after the refuelling zone at the exit of each service park. The appropriate FIA signs will identify the tyre marking zone. Tyre mark checking zone will be established at the each technical zone as per the itinerary 7.5 Tyre Regulations Breach Any breach of the tyre regulations will be submitted to the stewards and may result in a penalty, which may go as far as the exclusion of the crew by the stewards. 10

12 8. Fuel and Refuelling Competitors may only refuel in the refuel zones designated by the organiser in the road book except as detailed in (8.1.9 and hereafter) These refuel zones will be established immediately after the exit from service parks. Their entry/exit shall be marked by a blue fuel pump symbol only actions inside a refuelling zone that are directly involved in the refuelling of the competing car are permitted In the refuelling zone, a 5 km/h speed limit will apply It is recommended that mechanics wear fire-resistant clothing The responsibility for refuelling is incumbent on the competitor alone solely for the purpose of assisting with the refuelling procedure of their car, two team members of each crew may access the refuelling zone Engines must be switched off throughout the refuelling operation It is recommended that the crew remain outside the car during refuelling; however, should they remain inside at their own risk; the safety belts must be unfastened When necessary as part of service (i.e. changing a fuel tank or pump, changing of fuel filter, changing of any other item of the fuel circuit ) emptying and /or Refilling is permitted in a service park provided that: - Work is carried out with the knowledge of the organizer. - No other work is carried out on the car while the fuel circuit is open and/or during emptying and/or refilling operation. - A suitable safety perimeter is established around the car. - fire extinguishers with operator on standby to be provided by the competitor. - Only sufficient fuel is added to reach the next refuel zone The organisers may make provision for additional points for refuelling. These additional points for refuelling shall only be set up along the route, in service stations. In these areas any kind of servicing is prohibited - except for refuelling the car Only fuel in conformity with the 2015 FIA Appendix J Art are permitted. Super Unleaded fuel is widely available in Oman In the event of a breakdown, a car may be pushed out of the refuelling zone by the crew, officials and/or the two team members without incurring a penalty. 9. Reconnaissance 9.1 Procedure for registration The reconnaissance time table, reconnaissance time cards and the fitting of GPS monitoring equipment will be available from the Rally Office at Oman Automobile Association, on Monday 02nd Nov

13 9.1.2 When registering for the reconnaissance one of the crewmembers must be present to sign an indemnity, register the details of the reconnaissance car, mobile telephone numbers and contact details of the place of resident Reconnaissance car identification numbers must be attached to the front windscreen (top centre) and on the right and left rear side windows. They must be kept visible for the duration of the reconnaissance period Crews are authorized to drive a maximum of 2 (two) times through each Special stage during the Reconnaissance period in accordance with the timetable shown in Appendix II of this Supp. Reg. Only a total of 2 passes will be permitted When a Special Stage is used more than once in the same configuration. 9.2 Schedule. Reconnaissance will take place according to the following schedule: Tuesday, 03rd Nov Wednesday, 04th Nov Individual SS times will be shown in Recce Time Card 9.3 Specific regulations It is emphasized that reconnaissance is not practice. The competitors must drive in a manner that does not endanger or cause inconvenience to traffic or people living near the stages. All road traffic laws of Oman must be strictly complied with and the safety of other road users must be respected Crews will not be allowed to drive in the opposite direction of the rally route on special stages Crews are required to present their Reconnaissance time card at the Start and Finish of all Special Stages. Cars will only be permitted to enter and leave the special stages through the Start and Finish controls Reconnaissance will start on Tuesday, 03rd Nov at and will finish on Wednesday, 04th Nov at This regulation applies to all crews. If, outside the scheduled times, any crew and/or competitor is found on any part of any Special Stage to be used in the Rally, he or she will be reported to the Stewards. If this involved an Omani licensed driver, he or she will be subject to national suspension. In the case of a foreign licensed crew/competitor, he or she will be reported to the respective ASN which will take appropriate action Reconnaissance for Super Special (spectator Stage) : will be upon schedule issued at the Recce schedule, competitor will be allowed to go through the stage twice with a Maximum speed of 40 Km/h All Reconnaissance for all crews will only be carried out using series production cars of two or four wheel drive as per article of RRCR. Reconnaissance cars must be covered by insurance as required by the laws of Oman. No responsibility being imputable to the Organisers. 12

14 9.3.6 The maximum speed limit of 80 km/h is imposed on all special stages (Accept Super Special Stage ) during Reconnaissance unless the Organisers introduce a lower speed limit. Speed will be monitored by GPS tracking devices carried by all reconnaissance cars Any infringement of the reconnaissance regulations will be reported to the Stewards who may impose penalties under article of the RRCR. Furthermore, the Stewards may report the Competitors concerned to the FIA for Possible further sanctions. 9.4 Registration, Fitment of tracking and speed control devices Registration for Reconnaissance and the collection of the reconnaissance number plates, time cards and time schedule will take place as stated in the Rally programme A system of monitoring the speed, routing and position of reconnaissance cars during reconnaissance of all special stages by means of GPS tracking devices will be used. Details and times for the fitting of these tracking units will be contained in a Bulletin. 10. Administrative Check 10.1 Location : The administrative checks will take place at Rally HQ, Rally Office, at the Oman Automobile Association. All documents must be presented as required Time : Tuesday, 03rd Nov at according to individual time table issued in Rally Guide. Crews arriving late at Administrative checks shall be fined as follows: Up to 30 minutes delay 25 OR From 30 minutes up to 1 hours 50 OR Per additional hour 50 OR Maximum delay time is at based on a prior approval from the Clerk of the course, then the competitor will be reported to the stewards Documents to be presented Drivers & Co-drivers valid competition and driving licences Competitor/Entrant licence Valid Drivers and Co-drivers passport or identification (copy) Authorisation for the foreign drivers by their ASN to take part in the rally Rally car s insurance cover towards the third parties valid for Oman Rally car s registration papers Driver and Co-Driver Personal Accident Insurance valid for the duration and the type of the Oman Int. Scrutineering, Sealing and Marking 11.1 Location : V Racing Workshop Al-Ansab Bousher Time : Thursday,05th Nov at according to timetable issued in a bulletin Scrutineering provisions: -Cars must be presented to the scrutineers with the rally plates and competition numbers affixed. Optional advertising shall also be affixed. The control of drivers and co-drivers Helmets and equipment as well as Frontal Head Restraint Device (FHR) will take place at the scrutineering, Homologated FHR systems are listed in the FIA Technical list No. 29. The helmets will have to comply with the FIA standards listed in technical list No. 25 of Appendix J. Each helmet used by the crew will have to be identified and marked during the scrutineering before start. This marking maybe checked on the start of each special stage. - Drivers and co-drivers overalls as well as gloves (optional for co-drivers), long underwear, a balaclava, socks and shoes homologated to the FIA standard (Technical list No. 27 of Appendix J). - Presentation of car s complete original FIA homologation form in scrutineering is compulsory according to article 26.1 of the RRCR - SOS/OK panels as per article 40.2 RRCR - In accordance with appendix J, article 253.6, two belt cutters must be carried on board at all times. They must be easily accessible for the driver and c0-driver when seated with their harnesses fastened. - In accordance with appendix L, Chapter III, Article 2, the wearing of long underwear homologated to the FIA standard on special stages is MANDATORY for all drivers and co-drivers. infringements are subject to the penalty of refusal to take the start. - Crews arriving late at scrutineering shall be fined as follows: Up to 30 minutes delay 25 OR From 30 minutes up to 1 hours 50 OR Per additional hour 50 OR Maximum Lateness for Scrutineering is at 12:30 upon approval from Clerk of the Course, crews arriving after this time will be reported to the stewards. - Noise Level: at any time on the road sections, the noise level must be in conformity with appendix J, Article The installed extinguishing systems and manual extinguishers of the competing cars will have to comply with the regulations of appendix j of the FIA (art ) and are compulsory all competing vehicles. - A first aid kit. 14

All competitors must make provision in their cars for the installation of the tracking system and the emergency button. Installation instructions will be provided in Rally Guide. The correct functioning and installation of the equipment will be checked at Scrutineering. Should a crew retire, the equipment must be returned immediately to the supplier of the units at the rally HQ at the end of the current day. The units may be removed in the Final Parc Fermé, so cars must not be locked. Any misuse of the system(s) during the rally will result in the competitor being reported to the Stewards who may impose penalties which may go as far as exclusion 12. Features of the Rally 12.1 Ceremonial start Location : Muscat Wave Time : Thursday, 05th Nov at Ceremonial Start area / start parc fermé All competing cars are required to enter the pre-start holding area not later than Hours on Thursday, 05th Nov A penalty of US Per minute will be imposed for late arrival. The crewmembers do not have to be present when the car enters the start pre-start holding area. Maximum lateness is at 17:45 then crews will be reported to the stewards who might penalize the crew up to exclusion from the event Official Start / Super Special Stage Location : Official start of the rally is at Muscat Wave Super Special stage (TC1) 15

17 Time : Thursday, 05th Nov at 18:45 The super special stage will run on single track that is Hard gravel Finish Procedures : Location : Muscat Wave Time : Saturday 07th Nov at 16:30 Procedure and instructions: From the final Service park the cars will drive to Muscat Wave to the final holding area whose entrance is tc13d in OAA where the finish ceremony will be, then the Rally Officials will direct the cars to the finish podium in a special route reserved to the Rally cars. Rally officials will give a request to the drivers to forward to the finish ramp at a time up to the request of the clerk of the course. At 16:30hrs. The third overall driver will drive to the top of the ramp, stop with nose of the car dropped onto the exit ramp, stop engine. The crew will get out and stand on either side of the car with doors open wave for the photographers, drive off and park the car so it is positioned on the left hand side of the podium, the crew goes to the VIP area. Second overall, same procedure as third overall, car to be positioned on the right hand side of the podium. The winner drive on to the finish ramp with nose dropped onto the exit, the crew gets out, close doors and climbs onto the bonnet, maybe joined by team personnel, team personnel leave ramp, the car stays on the ramp until the finish of the ceremony. The box podium is moved into position in front of the finish ramp and the winning car. The winning crews are then called from the VIP area to stand behind the appropriate box; dignitaries are called to present the awards. The national anthem of the winning driver then will be played. The winning driver will then drive the car down the ramp to the parc ferme. Then the 1 st Omani competitor will drive to the Ramp, stop with nose of the car dropped onto the exit ramp, stop engine.the crew will get out and stand on either side of the car with doors open wave for the photographers, the Omani national anthem will be played. All other crews will drive over the ramp then to parc ferme, the winners of groups and classes and other trophies (as mentioned in the Supplementary regulations) will get trophies on the ramp. Invitations will be given to crews, as chosen by the stewards for final scrutineering and will drive to the final scrutineering venue in a convoy supervised by the organizers and will come back in a convoy to the Park Ferme when finished. 16

19 12.6 Starting system of special stages Cars will start all road sections and special stages at Three (3) minutes intervals. Official Time throughout the rally will be the Rally Office clock, which is calibrated from GPS Starting system is as follows: The timekeeping in the special stages will be carried out to the 1/10th of a second. The start of the special stages will be carried out by an electronic countdown system, placed on the left hand side of the road, between 2 and 5 meters ahead of the starting line, counting down by seconds and clearly visible to the crew from the start position. The electronic countdown system is as shown in Appendix VIII of this regulation: The entire system is driven by 1 chronometer. This system is electronically coupled to a start line detection device placed 30 and 50 centimetres after the start line that records any situation where a car leaves the start line ahead of the correct signal. Should the above starting light panel fail to function the start will be given in accordance to Article 37.3 of the FIA Regional Rally Championships Sporting Regulations Starting order The starting order of the leg one is established as follows: 1: FIA priority Drivers 2: All the other entrants following a starting order left to the discretion of the organisers. The starting order for the subsequent legs is based on the classification determined at the finish special stage of the previous leg Early check-in at the end of a Leg The crews may report before their due time without incurring any penalty at: TC 1A End of Section 1 / Parc Ferme IN TC 7C end of Leg 1 / Parc Ferme IN TC 13D end of Leg 2 finish podium holding area IN 12.8 Official Time : The official time throughout the entire rally will be the one set, Synchronized and displayed on the official notice board of the rally located at the OAA HQ, based on GPS time Re-start After Retirement / Rally 2 Re-Start after Retirement / Rally 2 regulations will be carried out in compliance with Article 46 of the 2015 FIA Middle East Rally Championship. 18

20 12.10 Judges of Fact Judges of Fact will patrol all road sections of the rally route to monitor compliance with regulations that prohibit service or the presence of team personnel within 1 km. of the rally cars except where specifically stated and any breach will be subject to exclusion. Such Judges of Fact may be mobile and may move along the rally route. Judges of Fact will be present at designated filling stations where refuelling is permitted to monitor that only fuel is added to rally cars only by the crews. All such judges of fact will be named on the official notice board Tracking Devices Competing cars will be fitted with data logging and tracking devices that will give an accurate trace of the position, movement and status of all competing cars during special stages and liaison sections of the rally. A trace of the movement of all competing cars will be superimposed on the centre line of the Special Stage route and any deviation from this may be subject to a penalty as per article f the 2015 MERC Accident Reporting If a driver taking part in a rally is involved in an accident in which a member of the public sustains physical injury, the driver concerned must report this to the next radio point as specified in the road book and signposted on the route. If he fails to observe this rule, the Stewards may impose on the crew responsible a penalty that may go as far as exclusion. The laws the Sultanate of Oman will be complied with in relation to procedures at accidents Miscellaneous Should circumstances so warrant, Schedule Times, Target Times and Maximum Lateness may be modified during the Event with the approval of the stewards The official language used throughout the Event shall be English in accordance with international practice. In the event of any official documents being written in any language in addition to English, the English version shall be taken as official if there is any difference in the translation Competitors are responsible for their own hotel accommodation reservations before, during and after the Event and the payment of any costs that may be incurred relating to the same. However, on request, assistance will be given to make the hotel reservation and to obtain the best possible room rates. Due to the busy time of the year, one-month notice is required if organisers assistance needed Competitors are responsible for clearing their own cars and spare parts through customs.where possible, assistance may be given. However, at least a 25 days notice should be given if any assistance is required Visas are required by most nationalities to enter Oman however many nationalities can buy their entry visa at the airport (check rally guide for 19

21 information on Visa). Competitors requiring assistance in obtaining a visa must give at least a 15 days notice prior to their day of arrival. Assistance cannot be guaranteed if this notice is not received in time Any entrant who would not continue and withdraws from the competition for any reason, hotel entitlement will stop as from the time of retirement In order to facilitate the Administrative checks, all entrants are requested to fax or the following documents listed in the box at least two weeks prior to the event start. 22 15 Prizes 15.1 Prize-giving a) The prize-giving ceremony will take place upon arrival of first car at the finish on the ramp on Saturday 7th Nov. 2015, at the Muscat Wave b) Competitors that are not personally present at the prize giving ceremony will lose their right to the prizes, nevertheless, the classification and attribution of the other prizes won t be modified Awards & Prizes Awards & Prizes: General Classification: 1 st overall - Two trophies 2 nd overall - Two trophies 3 rd overall - Two trophies Group Winners: 1 st in Group N - Two trophies Class winners: - Two trophies NOTE: Class awards will not be given: - If less than 3 (three) cars are entered in a class and, - If the winner of a class is also the winner of the Group. 1 st private entry - Two trophies Best Oman National crew (at least the driver should be from Oman) Highest placed crew - Two trophies Best Ladies team (at least the Driver should be a female) Highest placed crew - Two trophies 16.1 Final Scrutineering 16 Final Checks and Protests Location : OAA same as pre event Time : Saturday, 07th Nov at 18:00 after the finish podium Request for Final Scrutineering will be given to the competitors chosen by the Stewards. The cars will be driven from the finish Podium to the Scrutineering by the Driver or a Team representative duly designated, accompanied by a representative of the Organiser. A sufficient amount of mechanics with tools must follow each chosen car, should the scrutineers wish to dismantle the car. 21

23 16.2 Protests Protest fees in compliance with Article 55.2 of the FIA Regional Rally Championships Sporting regulations, All protests must be lodged in writing and handed to the clerk of the course together with the protest fee of an amount of 500.-, which shall not be returned if the protest is judged unfounded. If the protest requires the dismantling and the re-assembly of different part of a car, the claimant must pay an additional deposit: If the protest involves a clearly defined part of the car (engine,transmission, steering, braking system, electrical installation, bodywork, etc.): 1,000/- per each. Protests involving the whole vehicle are inadmissible. The expenses incurred by the work and by the transport of the vehicle shall be borne by the claimant if the protest is unfounded, or by the competitor against whom the protest is lodged if the claim is founded. If the claim is unfounded, and if the expenses incurred by the protest (scrutineering, transport etc.) are higher than the guarantee deposit, the difference shall be borne by the claimant. Conversely, if the expenses are less, the difference shall be returned to him Appeal Fees The sum for the national appeal fee: 1000 OR The sum for an International Appeal Fee (FIA): 6,000 22

27 APPENDIX III COMPETITORS RELATIONS OFFICER Mr. Naef Al Kharusi PRINCIPAL MISSIONS Inform the competitors and play a mediating role at all times. This post must be entrusted to an official in possession of a license issued by his ASN as it implies certain knowledge of the general regulations. He may attend the meeting of the panel of the Steward of the Meeting in order to keep abreast of all the decisions taken. The competitors' relation officer must be able to be easily identified by the competitor. To this end it is advised that: 1. He/she wears very conspicuous red colour tabard or Red Jacket. 2. He/she is introduced to the competitors at the driver's briefing. 3. His/her photograph is included in the supplementary regulations or in a bulletin. PRESENCE DURING THE RALLY When the Secretariat is opened, he should have the Secretary of the Meeting draft a schedule of his duties which shall be posted on the notice board of the event and which shall include: 26

29 Identification Numbers and Compulsory Advertising: 2 x Door panel with Competition Number 67x17cm. The top of the plate shall be placed between 7 cm and 10 cm below the lower limit of window line. No signage, other than the colour scheme of the car, shall be placed within 10 cm of this panel. (1) 1 x Roof panel with the competition number, 50 cm wide by 52 cm high, to be placed on the roof with the top towards the front of the car. (2) Rear window panel with Competition Number 30x10cm. It shall be positioned at the top of the rear window in a central location. Positioned on the right side of the rear window an adjacent area of 15x15cm. (3) Front rally plate 43x21.5cm. (4) Rear side windows: (5) 2 x Competition Number 25 cm high with a stroke width of at least 25 mm, These numbers shall be placed on the rear side windows adjacent to the driver s name. Driver s and Co-driver s Names The first initial(s) and surname of both driver and co-driver, followed by the national flags of the country of the ASN from which they have obtained their licenses, must appear on the rear side window on both sides of the car adjacent to the competition numbers. The names must be: In white Helvetica In upper case for the initial(s) and first letter of each name and the remainder in lower case 6cm high and with a stroke of width of 1.0cm The driver s name shall be the upper name on both sides of the car. Organizer s Optional Advertising: 10cm. high strip on the upper part of the windscreen, according to Chapter XVII Article 15.7 of the International Sporting Code (7). One space on each side of the car, 2 (A4) size spaces (8). A further bulletin will determine the advertising brands. Competition Numbers, Rally Plates and Advertising will be provided by The Organizer and must be affixed as specified in the diagram below. 28

30 APPENDIX V EXTRACTS FROM FIA APPENDIX L 1. Helmets All drivers must wear crash helmets which meet one of the standards listed in FIA Technical List N Flame-resistant clothing On special stages of rallies, all drivers and co-drivers must wear overalls as well as gloves (optional for co-drivers), long underwear, a balaclava, socks and shoes homologated to the FIA standard (Technical List N 27). Users must ensure that garments are not too tight, as this reduces the level of protection. Embroidery sewn directly onto the overalls shall be stitched onto the outermost layer only, for better heat insulation. Backing material of badges and thread used for affixing them to the overalls must be flame roof. 3. Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) The wearing of any device intended to protect the head or neck and attached to the helmet is prohibited, unless the device has been homologated according to the FIA 8858 standard. Homologated FHR systems are listed in the FIA Technical List N 29. FHR systems must be worn only with FIA-approved items according to the following chart: For more details when the device used is the HANS, the Guide for the Use of HANS in international motor sport, published by the FIA Institute for Motor Sport Safety, can be found on under the heading FIA Sport - Regulations - Drivers Equipment. 4. Safety Belts Drivers must be properly restrained in their seat by safety belts in conformity with the specifications of Appendix J for the vehicle concerned, at all times during an event when it is mobile on a circuit, pit lane, special stage or competition course. 29

32 APPENDIX VII DEFINITION OF A PRIVATE ENTRY For an entry for the Oman International Rally to be considered as a private entry, all of the following conditions must be complied with: 1. The car entered must be personal property of one of the crewmembers and the car license must be in his / her name. 2. The car must not be registered or licensed in the name of a company or any other person. 3. The entry form must be made in the name of one of the crewmembers, not in the name of a sponsor or any commercial organization. 4. The entrant s competition license must be in the name of one of the crewmembers. 5. Letters of authorization from any third party approving the use of the car. Other than legalized sales papers dated more than three months before the date of the rally, will not be considered. Unless ALL of the above mentioned conditions are met, the entry will not be considered as a private. 31
