If your accelerator sticks you should, shift the car into neutral and look for an escape route. If your brakes should fail, you should downshift to a lower gear, even with automatic transmissions. Since passing increases the chances of a collision, you should always attempt to travel with the speed of traffic. Icy road conditions are often found at bridges and overpasses. When there are curves in the road, you should slow down before you enter curve. If you absolutely must drive on an icy road, you should slow your vehicle to a crawl. In general, you should slow down when you travel across narrow bridges and through tunnels.
