3 Avanza Introduction 1 Avanza 600 Avanza 450 Efficient LED-based street lighting can be so simple with the Avanza beautiful and variable, efficient and sustainable. With two luminaire sizes and several reflector systems this product family provides solutions for a wide range of lighting tasks for streets or squares either as a lateral mounted or pole-top fitting on a designer pole or an existing stan dard pole.

5 Avanza Introduction 3 Powerful Efficient High-Power LED combined with innovative free form reflectors and sophisticated thermal management are the basis for the superior performance of the Avanza. LED clusters aligned to the primary light and Avanza reflectors coated with the purest aluminium ensure high luminous effi ciency. Avanza provides light which conforms to industry standards using maximum pole dis tances, while its low energy costs and positive CO2 footprint make for a convincing overall package.

6 4 Avanza 450 Aesthetic The Avanza incorporates a single-piece design and ex ploits the possibilities of LED technology to the full. Both the Avanza 450, for pathways and access-only streets, and the larger Avanza 600, for roadways with higher traffic volumes, have a body height of just 103 mm. With its distinctive design language it lends a stylish touch to streets, squares, pathways and parks. The key feature however is its outstanding lighting quality which, of course, conforms to all industry standards but above all delivers harmonious brightness transitions, variable lighting power and additional accessories.

9 Avanza Introduction 7 Future oriented High-quality materials and components plus harmo - nious design make the Avanza a future-proof investment. This is why we are able to offer a five-year warranty* on these lu mi naires. The housing is made of durable die-cast aluminium and the diffuser from non-reflecting safety glass. Our LED techno logy has a calculated service life of up to 100,000 hours. For each unit produced we test and document key lighting and electrical parameters to obtain zero-fault production. 22 20 One luminaire concept for all application areas A wide range of powers with two sizes Avanza 450 with two pairs of reflectors Avanza 600 with four pairs of reflectors The Avanza's lighting concept enables the widest variety of lighting tasks to be fulfilled. Both sizes are suitable for various wattages with system efficiency of up to 110 lm/w. There are two light colours to choose from: neutral white light (4,500 K) and warm white (3,000 K). Selected premium-quality LED ensure preset light colours within narrow tolerances.

The street reflector guarantees greater casting widths with constant street illumination which means that optimum pole distances can be obtained. The square reflector combines asymmetrical irradiation with a higher casting depth for the lowest possible number of luminaires yet maintaining excellent light quality. The emitted light is entirely aligned to the usage area enabling a luminaire with zero skyward scatter loss. Additional optics can be used for highly specialised lighting tasks: Optics for extra visual comfort The Comfort Optic ensure a particularly high level of visual comfort with road reflectors (see p.25). Reflector for pedestrian crossings Special pedestrian crossing optics are available for the lighting of pedestrian crossings with the Avanza. Reflector for footpaths and cycle paths With the Y-reflector additional illumination levels can be attained for pedestrian footpaths and cycle paths.

24 22 Homogenous, uniform lighting results Method of operation of free-form reflectors The combination of direct light and reflected light is why Avanza can deliver high light output with high visual comfort at the same time. The luminaire is equipped with two (Avanza 450) or four (Avanza 600) pairs of large freeform reflectors. An LED cluster aligned in the direction of the main light is integrated into each reflector. Selux Cross Beam Technology creates harmonious brightness transitions for optimal visibility and a unique appearance.

This is especially the case in accessonly residential areas with low light spot heights where maximum visual com fort is a particular requirement. This is where the factory-installed Comfort Optics come in. Attached directly onto the LED cluster, luminous areas are widened, luminances are reduced and visual comfort is increased as a result.

30 28 Sustainable concept, easy maintenance Consistent heat dissipation for longer life LED street lights are only truly innovative when they create long-term added value with sophisticated heat management. Only with consistent discharge of heat at the joining surface do LED obtain their greatest possible efficiency and a longer lifetime. LED boards in the Avanza are fixed on specially designed contact areas within the luminaire housing. These conduct the heat onto the entire surface of the luminaire, ensuring uniform cooling by circulating exterior air. As a result, the Avanza can be confidently applied in ambient temperatures of up to 55 C (depending on power). In the unusual case of a luminaire overheating, it will be automatically dimmed via an NTC module and, after cooling, reset to its initial power. Servicing and warranty Every luminaire that leaves our company is tested against light colour, luminous flux and power. This data is stored to enable light components to be supplied at a later date that have the same technical parameters as the initial equipment. As a reliable supplier and partner we are convinced of the high quality of our products. For this reason we offer an extended five-year warranty which includes the LED module and electronic ballast. 31 Avanza Technique 29 Tool less replacement of parts Elbow lever lock LED module Converter During installation, the open diffuser is secured by a tensioned spring. The converter can be released and secured via a 90 rotary lock. The LED module is secured with two excentric levers on each side. The Avanza is distinguished by high-quality materials and utmost practicality. Our LED technology has a calculated service life of up to 100,000 hours. The long lifetime and the housing's dirt-resistant shape keep maintenance costs to the minimum. The Avanza complies with the IP66 protection category. For upgrades, the luminaire can be opened without tools via an elbow lever lock. The LED boards are connected with the reflectors to form an easy-to-handle module. This can be replaced without tools as can the converter. Electrical contact between the LED module and converter is via a plug-in connector, which enables components to be replaced independently.

32 30 Save energy and costs with professional control Avanza luminaires can be switched and dimmed via different inter faces (1 10 V, DALI). Because of this the light can be controlled individually and precisely in a way that would not be possible with conventional luminaire technology. This usage-based control re duces energy consumption in the long term, lowers costs and opti mizes the CO 2 footprint. This is not necessary with the Avanza - with optional Constant Lumen Technology (CLT) the loss in luminous flux can be compensated for by an algorithm specially coordinated to the LED. The Avanza family of mounting arms combined with the pole that has been specially designed for the Avanza provides the luminaire with a harmonious overall look.
