The new engine components serve two main purposes: to improve gasfow and make sure the ex hausts reaches the after-treatment system at optimum temperature. The DOC produces the NO 2 necessary for the DPF to efficienty combust the particuates. In cod conditions, it aso provides the heat needed for regeneration. In the mixing zone, the exhausts are sprayed with AdBue. When they reach the catayst, the oxides of nitrogen (NO X) are efficienty transformed into harmess nitrogen gas and water. 7th injector A specia diese injector is used for heat management of the DOC and ensures the efficiency of the DPF and good SCR functionaity.
